View Full Version : Problem with a downloaded image
Downloaded something for the Wii and am not sure how to burn it. The initial download was a load of files with .001, .002, .003 etc up to 90 so open it up in WinRAR and it shows me a file with an extension of .wii. After extracting i try and treat it as a standard image file and burn it using nero but it is too big to fit on a standard DVD. Anyone come across this before / have any ideas how to sort it?
I've tried downloading different ones but 1 didn't work when burnt and the other was the same as this one.
ok, are these single or dual layer discs?
Single layer. I've not come across one which is more than the standard size and this one is only a few hundred meg over the limit.

Maybe it is like a ISO image and needs another program to get the files out of the image?
I'm stumped, nothing of use in the nfo file either. Will do some gooling later on.

Unscramble The Raw Image
Download unscrambler 04 from ingenieria-inversa.cl and extract it. copy the file "unscrambler.exe" into the very folder you keep your raw image in.
Then left-click your Windows start button in the lower left corner of your screen and click "Run". A window opens, type 'command'.
Navigate to the folder containing your raw image and "unscrambler.exe". In that folder, type 'unscrambler.exe raw-image.wii "image.iso"'
replacing raw-image.wii with the filename of your raw image and image.iso with any name you want your new *.iso to have.
Again this process takes some time, wait for the message "image successfully unscrambled" and close the window by typing "exit". Now the desired *.iso should be in the same folder.
This only works if your Wii is chipped with a modchip.
Great stuff, thanks for that, will try it later :).
That worked a treat, thanks mate :D.
