View Full Version : The Apprentice *** SPOILERS ***
Has anyone else been watching The Apprentice - I've been glued to it all series and was thoroughly looking forward to tonights episode.
It was very obvious that something was wrong when SAS told Katie that she was through to the final - Both myself and Mrs. Feek commented that she didn't look as happy as one would expect.
I don't believe she had ulterior motives, nor do I believe she was only in it to win it, I think she was genuinely caught out by his detailed questioning about upping and moving to (possibly) Brentwood or one of the other locations and although she had an answer for him it wasn't something she'd seriously considered.
Big up to her for having the balls to withdraw from the competition at that stage and having watched the 'You're Fired' programme after on BBC2 I have utterly no respect from the blonde bint bra woman for laying into Katie the way she did.
We watched them filming all of them getting into the taxi last year for their 'fired' shots (I work right opposite the Amstrad building in Brentwood) and I have no doubt that we'll see them filming both Simon and Christina getting into AMS1 over the next couple of days but strangely enough this time around we've not really spotted any of the candidates around town. Last year they were a common sight generally in Nico's at lunchtime getting their sarnies!
Looking forward to the final next week.

Yes I have been watching it, what a cow that Katie is, and Tre.....well his answer to most thing envloves F**K word !
I only saw the one last night when they were on a tv channel trying to sell stuff... presenting is damn hard, but they were rubbish!

I've also been watching this series. Katie is fun to watch. I find it funny that she's always smiling but she does seem very confident and it was good to see someone *that* ruthless step down. I think Simon is very young in a way. He seems to jump into things and doesn't follow them through, and compared to the others you can see he's young. The way he sits and talks to people. I think the other woman deserves to win. This is brilliant (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uYqqeeqYzQ&mode=related&search=).

argh Katie, I just want to give her a good slap in the face  she annoys me so much. I was gutted when SAS gave her the slot in the final, she's manipulated and weaseled her way through to the final and I just don't like the woman.
Personally I think Christina has won it and good luck to her :)
Awesome Pete ;D

I think to make on this job application on National TV you have to be ruthless.
There is a 100K salary on the line, which I think for most of us is alot of money which will change our lives.
Most the candidates on there are not doing much in their lives as they need 12 weeks free to hopefully complete the distance of the Sir Alan's interview.
So that means ditching what ever employment they have, or like Tre a break from his Dad's business.
Did we get to find out what his familys businees is ?
Katie was ruthless, though she got the job done, which in that sort time window they have you have to be some extra harsh as everyone is judging you on the performance. And if your team loss then your actions are Magnifyed to be examined in great detail.
Though I must say that Car Salesman should not have been there as he was never a team player and was only interested in performing the least amount of effort to get through.
Would you trust a Car Salesman ! ?

That was last weeks, this weeks one will be repeated Tuesday next week BBC2.
If you are on holiday, then set your Sky Box or generic media box. The candidates are interviewed, worth watching ! ! !;)

Great program - love it!
Last nights show was rigged though.. and as I said else where...
The sceptic in me believes that somewhere along the line, before Kate quit in the board room, she had decided to go. However, the production team obviously thought it would make good TV if she got in the final 3 knowing she was through only to surrender. I found it to be all too dramatic and convenient but good anyway.
I think she was right to go, on the program afterwards, it was said that sahe give business women a bad reputation which I think summed it up for me. I wouldn't want someone working for me who’d be upsetting my staff, vendors and more importantly customers.
Tre.. well he has all mouth trousers without the balls in the end..
I really thought the two above would be in final 2 but I hoped they wouldn’t I think the final two are the right choice although Simon comes over so unconfident
and it still eludes me how he escaped the previous week.
For me, Kristina is the one, She has direction, ambition, drive and motivation. She’s polite yet firm. What I like most about her is that “What you see is what you get”. There’s no hidden agenda and she doesn’t walk on people toes to get somewhere. She does it on her own merit.

Agreed on both counts :D. Her general attitude, look and lack of substance really annoyed me. She talked as good a game as anyone but never actually did anything. The way she always tried to flirt with Alan Sugar / any of the men interviewing her actually really annoyed me too, trying to be all coy when she is far from that. I am quite amazed she even went into the competition without considering the implications of having to move / telling her parents due to the kid situation. Stupid.
I can't see that Simon bloke winning to be honest.

Dude you are so doomed ;D

I laughed too, and her reason of getting on the show is totally wrong.
£90,000 in West country vs £100,000 in London. I know which one I pick.

Yes, but you don't have two kids to think about relocating and sorting out schooling and such like.
lol, I think he meant he'd stay in the West Country......... 90k goes a lot further than 100k in London
Should've made it clearer, that's what I meant. :)
I'd definitely be staying in the West Country on a wage like that :p
You'd be daft not to imo.
lol, i laughed and I laughed. However this bit is a bit strange:
No it isn't. Every job I've done has had a probationary period - usually 3-6 months.
I thought that too - maybe they mean in the public sector. :dunno:
And yes, given the choice, it's a no-brainer on the salary, assuming she was earning that (it was denied, which is usually a good indication). :)

Yes! Excellent result \o/
That is all
I was really impressed by what they accomplished in 3 days. More so, I was impressed with what the architects did. From "Hey I've got this idea" to photo realistic images of the actual building in the London Skyline. As for the result I was surprised. I guess Kristina was the obvious choice for a good job but Simon was the risky choice that could go far beyond Kristina.
