Yup we were there... don't remember seeing a lass named Luman, but there were a few lovely ladies present... can you spot her amongst these?

Was supposed to meet up with her, but I think she felt a bit rough on Sunday ;) :p

Ahhh I remember the lass :) Lovely lady, as dym said, used to date a guy who flies by the handle Kinsy :)

Will

Lumari then - I don't play EVE :p

Ah you knew Kinsy then? Yeah I've known Lucy since 2004, met her with Daz at get together in Loughborough. :)

Gutted I missed out on catching up with her - we get on really well... Ah well, next time I'm in the midlands....

She, erm, ahhhh had my erm... name sticker on her left erm, boob for a while. I may have, erm, ahhh, *whistle* held it flat in my hand and pressed it on quite firmly.

In my defence though, I did make it perfectly clear what I was going to do before I did it!

OMG A GIRL!!!!! ;)

One of my friends plays Eve an obsene amount and had something like 10% of the total game kills one weekend IIRC. I played it for a while and was quite enjoying it until I encountered a group of players who were just sitting around a jump gate and killing people for a laugh. Lost 25m in an hour and cancelled my account a couple of days later as I just couldn't be arsed building it all back up.

Heh, I wasn't the only one, Will - She said that she'd got a load of free drinks that evening!

I don't believe that claim of kills btw Lardo - Firstly there is no overall tracker so it's not possible to see how many kills there have been over any period of time and secondly there are many thousands of kills every day over the multiple thousands of systems so unless your friend was talking about percentage of kills within his own corporation then I'd take that with a pinch of salt.

Eve is a harsh game but it's a shame you left after that. It's not like other games where a loss doesn't really mean anything but once an item/ship/whatever is destroyed in Eve then it's really gone. It's what makes the game for me, the thrill of the hunt or the defence.

Last night I had to fly 41 jumps through 0.0 in a shuttle (with a headfull of implants) and having gone through a couple of gate camps on the way really got the ticker ticking! At one, I jumped into a camp with a large bubble and it was so badly positioned that I was able to impulse through it and get into warp before the n000bletts got a shot off!

Fun!

Work :(

Gotta agree with Feek... 10% of kills in all of Eve would be an absolutely amazing result. Every corp and alliance would be clamoring after him! Just to give you a rough idea, I've looked at the map telling it to show me kills in the last 24 hours. Taking just the major 0.0 space (lawless zones) kill spots I've hit 3k. Tack on empire stuff and you'd consider it a light day if your tally came to less than 10 - 20x that many kills. I'm sorry, there is just no way I'd ever believe someone could have killed over 2000 player ships in the space of a weekend.

So I'm intrigued how the conversation went, Will - You were talking and she just mentioned it was an Eve meet and you guessed we'd gone, or did you ask if she'd seen us?

Del Lardo

TBH it's probably just me not remember what he told me correctly as this was a pub conversation ;) He's not the sort of guy to BS though so I'll ask him next time I see him.

In hindsight I probably should have tried again but having spent a month getting a feel for the game and building up my credits losing pretty much the entire lot in one go to someone who wasn't even going to bothing collecting pissed me off so much that I decided to cancel my account immediately though I did end up waiting to chat to my mate first.

No I saw her pictures of the meet and I recognised you from the back of your head, and Dym and Garp, and I know you all play EVE :D

I don't think she knows that I know you ;)

"Will, who was the old guy that was groping my norks?? I would really like to get in touch with him" :p

The crazy thing is that I actually know her from somewhere. Its either a friend of a friend or I have met her somewhere. No I don't play eve either. It could have been a uni event or something..... pass really, can't remember.

She is stunning. We fancied each other rotten - but I never was able to make it up to Lboro :( Ah well - she's a top girl though miss Biddles.

Had a few beers with my mate tonight and checked up.

He plays as Tomar Lyonsbane for the Sniggerdly clan.

The claim came from a weekend where there were 20k players online and his clan had 2k kills.

If you do ever come across him say hello from POD and he may be kind to you ;)

How ironic. Snigg are one of the biggest bunch of pirates in the game and you left because you were pirated ;) :D :D :)

I was thinking something along those lines, and also that if I ever saw him in space it'd probably us trying to kill each other. I wouldn't trust a Snigg pilot as far as I could nudge his ship!

Actually although they're a huge bunch of pie rats, they take it pretty seriously and everything I've heard about Snigg tells me that they're honourable pirates so if I were in a situation where I needed to trust one as a buddy, there's a good chance I would.

Some of our guys are ex Snigg. I'd have applied to them when I had a break from STK but their membership was closed at the time.
