Grosse Pointe Blank. (http://imdb.com/title/tt0119229/)
What a film!
First saw this film almost 10 years ago when I was at Uni. I love it!!
Bought the VHS and long since upgraded to DVD.
Almost perfect cast, absolutely perfect soundtrack, and it's funny as hell!
Dan Aykroyd is a genius piece of casting in this film. He's just menacing enough to appear completely barking.
Watch it. :D

High Fidelity is a great film... just seems a little too close to me for comfort though. :embarassed:
Love the soundtrack as well. :D

Grosse Pointe Blank, brilliant film. Of course there is also the added bonus.... John Cusack mmmmmmmmmmm
kinda hijacking, kinda not..
Dym, testpattern and myself have been having a fairly lazy Sunday, topped off with a trio of films. Two light relief, one slightly darker.
First up came Galaxy Quest. Awesome, brain half-off, laugh out loud movie, taking shots at every major sci-fi TV series along the way (though naturally primarily piss taking Star Trek), everything seems to just work together perfectly. Alan Rickman is still my favourite though :)
Secondly came Evolution. Kinda funny film, never really takes itself seriously, but with a reasonable turn from David Duchovny and Julianne Moore.
To cap off the evening we ended up watching one of my favourites, as we discovered Testpattern was yet to have watched it, Batman Begins. Probably THE best Batman film there has ever been (according to testpattern, and ratified by me!) He was more than a little reluctant at first, in part due to George Clooney wrecking the role I suspect, but was soon converted :)

"Woah, that was a hell of a thing"
"Well, the Protector got super-accelerated coming out of the black hole, and it, like, nailed the atmosphere at Mach 15, which, you guys know, is pretty unstable, obviously, so we're gonna help Laredo guide it on the vox ultra-frequency carrier and use Roman candles for visual confirmation. "
"Never give up, never surrender!"
"By Grabthar's hammer... by the Sons of Warvan... you shall be... avenged."
Great film, and I think Tony Shalhoub just pips the show-stealing over Rickman, which is an achievement in itself.
Best line: "...and it exploded!" :D
Um, but Grosse Pointe Blank... my favourite bit:
"Quick, he's coming back."
*Dan Aykroyd runs back into the toilet cubicle*
*Ten seconds later*
"Ah, **** you guys!"

My favourite lines in GPB:
While talking to his psychiatrist...
Marty: They all have husbands and wives and children and houses and dogs, and, you know, they've all made themselves a part of something and they can talk about what they do. What am I gonna say? "I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork. How've you been?"
Or while talking to Debbie's father
Mr. Newberry: What have you been doing with your life?
Marty: Uh... professional killer.
Mr. Newberry: Oh! Good for you, it's a... growth industry.
But yes, in Galaxy Quest, Rickman does indeed steal every scene that he's in. Just plays it so perfectly.
And my movie for tonight: Empire Records (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112950/)
