I would seem that they aren't keeping a very close eye on it, at least one person lied and they just sent them a new unit. I lied but then my 4100 has an intermittent disconnect issue so hopefully this will sort it :)

So what's supposed to happen?

I said XL and selected the 4100 (although I have a 5100) and it said:

Great news! You actually don't need a modem upgrade.
We've looked at your current modem specification and it'll deliver the new speed perfectly.

Did you select the 'Motorola 4100', and not anything else that happens to contain '4100'? :)

Hmm need to find out the account number. We've got a very old modem (It was when NTL first started offering BB) and I much preferred the one I had in Stafford which was the new type.
