And this week I am suffering with back ache :)

It turns out that fitting an engine to a car all by yourself without an engine crane isn't such a good idea after all. It would appear that I don't make a very good engine hoist :p

Be careful with your back Jonny, I was off for nearly 3 weeks with mine recently so I know just how painful it can be. Are you off work or still in and suffering?

Bloody hell, you must have a chest on you that makes Wills look small. Well either that or you were installing the little one cylinder thing in your pop/lawn mower :D

One thing is for certain though, he won't be putting his back into it for a while ;D

LOL @ Zirax ;D

Jonny - be careful, your back is the most integral part of your body, it really is debilitating having the most minor of back problems. If you need help, next time give me a call, I'm only 10 mins away. :) Speaking of which we ought to catch up for a beer sometime!

I haven't damaged anything, just tired the muscles out :D You know how when you do gardening and you haven't done it for ages, it's like that. I actually feel quite liberated having spent so long decomposing at my desk at work.

I swear my arms are longer today then they were yesterday morning

I'm away hotrodding this weekend, that's what all the rush is to get the engine back in the car.

Please, please, please be careful with yourself. It may seem like a good idea but take it from me it can spiral.

I thought I was gonna give myself a hernia lifting the complete Supra head with inlet manifold onto the block. I had to stand on the inner wings straddling the block and nudge it into place carefully.

According to all the manuals and forums "This is definitely a 2-man job"

I am man-squared

Congrats on getting it running. Now that you have bored it out whats it likely to be running?

Jonny69

0-60 in about 35 seconds :D

Will

60 bhp or so?

Jonny69
22-08-2007, 11:48
Nowhere near that much, closer to about 45hp but feels like 10,000hp compared to before :D

Will

Even with the twin carbs and exhaust?

Jonny69
23-08-2007, 11:16
Nah it won't go that high, it only had 30hp as standard. Would need some pretty exotic work to get that much out of it.

I reckon high 40's with the exhaust and carbs but don't forget it's power across the band, plenty for those tiny tyres and cable brakes :D

I just seemed to rememebr you mentioned 60 break somewhere... maybe i'm losing my mind! I went back a few days later, your tyre marks were still on the roundabout!! ;D It's mucho cool!
