Not too bad, its just the cost of the repair! probably be a minimum of £300 to fix.
Easier to show you than explain damage:

Hmm, looks like it's isolated to the panel and the bumper, still a pain in the arse though. How's the gate?!
Can't believe someone would blatantly do that and then drive off. Actually I can, but you know what I mean.
Aww thats crap :(
We had a bloke hit our car (luckily just scrapped bumper) last year and our neighbour saw him do it and said he was driving as if he was drunk.
Iain reported him and apparently he hit another car down the road as well yet he got away with it as he told the police he was really sorry he'd just split up with his missus.

Rusted with bits of it falling off, I reckon we can blame her for that as well ;)

That sucks! :(
I've had similar done to my car while it was parked outside my old house. List is so long I can't really be bothered anymore to type it all out. So much has been done though it would cost more to repair it all than the car is worth :(
Thats on the bumper and panel :( Almost in an identical place to where my Focus was hit. Mine was parked MILES away from the other cars in a carpark and a woman in a 4x4 put a dent in the wheel arch. Back then I could run, so I ran across the carpark but she stamped on the accelerator the moment she hit mine and legged it...... smiling as she saw me running
My Focus is now covered in scratches and dents, it really makes me sad everytime I spot yet another one as I really tried to keep it looking ace. When I got it, it was spotless so I can feel your pain :(
That'll be more than £300 I reckon :( Hopefully you're fully comp and they can find the driver and get it all done on insurance.
Bunch of twats.
That sucks the big one :(
Hope the police find him and do him for all sorts.
edit: 307? Sorry, do HER ;)
Tosser :( OR Tosserette ;)

It was a her, giving females a bad name with her 50 point turn hitting the gate and car!! stupid bitch!
EDIT: yes we are covered by our insurance, (its my mum's car)
Hopefully you shouldn't have to claim on it if you can find that driver - their insurance should cover it. I can't believe they didn't stop! That's what i find more disgraceful. :(

They did stop briefly when I shouted down the street you've hit the ****ing car at the top of my voice! Then drove off, that's how I managed to get half the plate wish my brain was working and I'd thought faster and got it all, but I thought they were stopping to get out!
Hopefully they may be able to find them but I very much doubt it :/
Bah. Hope the plice find her :(

Gave a statement and they've taken mum's car details down.
Just feel a bit meh about it all now really. We have a case number thing for insurance company so mum's going to deal with that in a bit.
OMG just seen this.
What a GIMP. A complete and utter backwards TAWT.
I so hope you find out who they are... I loathe people like that... they're the kind that make this world not so nice at times.
/me wants to kick them in the goolies / poke their eyeballs for lynnie
I really don't get it. I think I'm too nice sometimes - even if I did the slightest damage to any vehicle I would stop and give all my details - and once more be incredibly apologetic.
/me doesn't like bad people.
This type of thing does suck. I'm really not sure how people manage to drive away without feeling guilty.

Quite easily, by the sound of it
It seems that the idea of not having to pay an insurance excess next year and not getting a 'due care' conviction is more important than doing what's right.
Hopefully they'll get done for leaving the scene as well now.
That sucks Lynnie, hope they find them and it gets sorted satisfactorily.

Unless she comes forward, it is doubtful that anything will be done. My mum has gone through our insurance. We've lost our 2 years no claims (we'd of had 2 years in December) and had to pay £250. If they get them then they'll give us all that back but very doubtful!
Got to take the car into the Insurance garage on Tuesday, good thing is my mum paid for a curtesy car option so I get to pick that up when I drop the car off, at least thats something :) Its an utter pain in the arse to get to work without a car.
Is it not cheaper to get it fixed without claiming, taking into account the losing of the no-claims etc etc?

Very doubtful, we would save that much a month. If we got it fixed ourselves it would be a patch up job. I did a ickle dent on the bumper and that cost £275, so very doubtful to cost under that. Where the damage is they should replace the bumper and the panel (where the most damage is).

Did any of the neighbours witness it ? The more independant witnesses the better.
The car should be able to be traced on PNC, even with a part reg and it will without doubt have damage on it with traces of your car's paint where the damage is. It's a fair bet that traces of paint left will match yours and visa versa.
If you're still living where you were when I was there for the Liverpool meet, I recall there was a main road not far away. If thats the case and it headed that way then the car may have been captured on any CCTV that may be there and a full VRM might have been captured.
Such things are so selfish and I have to echo Desmo in that the guilt alone should make them stop and leave a contact number. It can be very distressing for some people.

Yeah same house, however the road doesn't have CCTV near my street and they could have gone through the park. Nope nobody was around which is really strange as we usually have tonnes of people out and about around here at that time of day
