Firstly curse this local region red wine from France. It's so young, honest and straightforward. It's not trying to be anything it's not and it's just so easy to drink. Well done France, you have come up trumps. Les Ormes de Cambras Merlot, 12% and it cost about €2.50 :)

Second up when you're driving don't you hate over sensitive controls on the car? The brakes on the Scenic are like this. In the Pop you know where you stand, you have to press the brake as hard as you have to lean back to stop yourself tipping out the seat, in the Scenic the brake is much much lighter and you find yourself struggling not to tip onto the pedal and press it harder by mistake :)

Tonight it's spaghetti bolognese. I did it the comfort way with meat and veggies, tin of toms, slug of red wine and you know you love it, a jar of pasta sauce as well. Mmmm I'm hungry now :)

Tomorrow is work :( but I am happy now :)

Ah, spam!

Reminds me of my old MG Midget. If you want to brake quicker, push harder! Other quirks; no synchromesh in first, horn replaced with a toggle switch by a previous owner, lights flashed full beam if I indicated, lights go off inbetween changing from dipped to full, and the doors, ignition, boot and petrol cap all had seperate keys. The most spectacular quirk was that at some point in the car's history someone had the great idea of removing the bonnet safety catch, causing the bonnet to fly up at 55 on a dual carriageway causing £1500 of damage. How I controlled it and parked up I'll never know.

I had sausage, liver and bacon casserole for dinner. Delicious.

I heard it's because the world spins round, it's like a roundabout. No wait that can't be true? :undecided:

Sausage, liver and bacon casserole sounds nice. Mashed potato with it? I would have mash.

Though maybe pasta.

Nah, mash.

Would rice go?

Attach buttered toast to the back of a cat (or kitten in your case) before it falls. Problem solved. Either that, or you just invented levitation. :)

Always mash. Except tonight when I couldn't be bothered to mash 'em! ;D

I bought a beige Peugeot 309 GL 1.3 and drove it to work and back for the summer. It had binding brake calipers, which made the brakes boil if you drove further than about 10 miles, but it just wasn't worth fixing them. My brakes used to give off smoke at the traffic lights on the way to work :D

I had Moules Marinere (boil in a bag from Tesco) for tea with a wholemeal baguette, because Leon had buggered off on a work do. It was divine. I got thoroughly tickled when he got home for daring to have one of his favourite foods in the world. HA! Serves him right for having a life :p

My first car was a red Ford Escort estate. The breather pipes got blocked on the way home from work once and it exploded in a shower of oil.

My sister finally killed it after I left home. She said someone ran in to it in a carpark and wrote it off, but I suspect it was her and her fraudulent insurance claims.

For dinner, I had microwave custody food. This stuff manages to not go off, sat at an ambient temperature for 18months. According to the ingredients there's no artificial preservatives in them. I think in 10,000 years when Mankind has wiped Himself off the face of the Earth, the cockroaches will be eating them.

They're made by Westlers of crap 1970's cinema burger/hot dog 'fame'.

The first car I ever owned was a Cavalier CDi (I'd always had company cars until then) and it looked awesome as the previous owner had put it on lowered springs. Sitting against the kerb it was all low and sleek and ready to burst forward with all haste if you just tickled the throttle.

The problem was that he'd not touched the shocks which because of the model of the car were already quite soft and being a few years old, they were even softer so the ride was very much like a Citroen 2CV, only worse. It bounced and wallowed around the road and I'm told it looked quite funny when seen from behind with it bouncing all over the place.

Last night we had fish and chips for our tea and very nice it was too :)

My first car was a Renault 9. I picked it up from the previous owner and took it for a spin. About 5 miles from home, the back box decided to part company with the rest of the vehicle, forcing me to make peoples eardrums bleed all the way to the exhaust repair place.

I have been eating soup and bread all week due to having a very upset tummy and a seriously squirty bottom.

Oh yes Stan, I forgot about that - The same thing happened when I picked up the Cavalier, the back box fell almost completely off as I was travelling along the M27, I pulled into the next services (M3 I think), pulled off what was remaining and dumped it in a rubbish bin then drove all the way back home (nearly four hours) with the radio turned up very loud, sounding like a tractor.

Have some hard boiled egg sarnies, that'll sort out your bottom!

My first car was a VW golf which broke down when I was on my way to an interview with 118. I remember I had carb icing and had to strip the airbox down to get at the venturi. The thing was bullet proof, I skidded on ice through and out the other side of a trolley park one christmas holiday and came out without a scratch.

Last night I had Salad with baked potato and tuna.

So if one were to have mash but not mash the potatoes would one have a plate of potatoes with butter and milk?

My car doesn't understand the concept of over sensitive controls :(
The steering takes herculean efforts (For me at least, and for my Dad) to do anything making almost all parking painful.
It occasionally despises 5th gear so decides to go into something in between 3rd and 5th (If only it was 4th though :p) until I try again and it finally gives into me.
And the clutch is the devil's spawn of clutches.

Thank God I'm trading it in on Monday :D Even if it means I'll start out by oversteering at all times and overreving because i'll be expecting an evil clutch ;D

I had chicken curry with rice and poppadoms for dinner last night. And it was good :D

The first car I bought was a Mk II cavalier for £70. The rings were shot and it let out a smokescreen over 40 mph. Which was ok as I only used it round town. And the scrap man gave me £40 when the MOT ran out :)

I'm feeling extremely idle today so lunch consisted of a cup of coffee, a tin of marinated herring fillets and a pack of biccies :)
