First off, I decide I don’t like the looks of this window.

So, out it comes.

And the new one goes in.

And then finish it up with a little trim….

And yes, I know there's a crack in the top pane. That happened before I got the new window. Hey, it was free. I wasn't going to complain about a $24 chunk of glass!! :)

Sash windows rock :)

Is that double glazed or just uPVC single glazed? Wish ours were double glazed (even though we only get low temps of around freezing it'd still be nice)....

They're double. That cracked one has now let out all the Xenon gas that was in there, but it'll still be better than what was originally in there!!

Nice job there, and a bargain too.

The only trouble with blown double glazing units is they seem to have a habit of trapping moisture. My parents patio doors and several windows did that and had to be replaced in the end (well, they replaced the doors and then moved house). Still, you can't grumble at free. :)

How very dare you steal my name! :D

Coincidentally, my surname is also "linked" to another American 60s sitcom...
