Right well last night i decided to buy a DS lite with a copy of More Brain Training :)

bit of an impulse buy but i've been thinking about it for a while.

now - how do you get it to connect to WiFi? do you have to buy extra hardware/software like the browser - or does the browser 'do what it says on the tin' and just broswe?

I'm sure I had a manual with the DS that told me how to connect to WiFi. I didn't need to buy anything else to do it :)

You cant get to the wifi settings until you get a game that uses Nintendo WFC, then through the game you can access the settings and set it up. Will only work on WEP though, which is pants.

Random side note, I set the Draytek to run WPA and WEP for the wireless, which requires clients to connect by WEP using Key 2 and no other, but the DS will only use Key 1 and isnt configurable otherwise

Making it difficult.

If you want to be a little naughty.... this is how you do it!

Basically you need a superkey plus supercard, then a microsd card and you're away basically.

http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/product...uperkey-bundle

Something like that. Then you need a separate microsd card - I got a 2gb one from:

https://www.lowpricememory.co.uk/micro.html at £14 it's pretty good going.

Then what you do is download the ROM files, from numerous sites out there torrents and other places.

http://eng.supercard.cn/ is the site you get the software to patch the rom file.

http://www.nintendo-ds-roms.com/ is a pretty good site for rom downloads.

What you then do, is patch the rom file you download with the software that came with your supercard to enable it to run off the microsd card (or use the link given above)- you get a .nds (I think) and a .sav file on your card. Then you just choose which game you want to play!

So with a 2gb card you can store quite a few games, the rom files vary from 20mb to 128mb. Sd cards are so cheap that it's easy to have a couple with a lot of games on. You keep full functionality of them too.

I'm loving my DS - it's a great little gadget I got myself, really glad I have. Especially since I have about 300 games for it now! ;) :p

Furthermore my brain age is down to 24 on both the old brain training and the new one!
