360 game refusing to let me update

Just stuck my rental copy of NBA 2k7 in, it took a very long time to load, put up an update screen which I said yes too, then it said the update failed. So I took the disc out, reset the cache and tried again. Now it just disconnects me from XBL and doesn't give me the option to update :huh:
I've tried restarting the 360 and deleting the cache again but no change.

Any ideas?

Just trying to find that out, no warnings though which is a bit crap of them.

Deleted the cache for the 5th time despite knowing it was empty anyhow and now it works :rolleyes:
Never disconnected me from Live though so not sure if it was an error their end or mine :undecided:

They are prepping for some downtime later in the month, so it's quite possible.

But wouldn't it boot me from Live? It didn't except for when it always does for updates, then it reconnected me immediately when I took the disc out.

There's downtime next Monday morning btw, message about it.

Just saying there could be problems while they're tinkering. Wouldn't be the first time :)

Ah well, least it's working now. Was more worried it was a problem with the console but I'll hope it's just Live :p
