I can't see the pic
I use this prog to stop All Windows invasive Bull**** but remember to switch it to Windows update once a week to get your updates.

Describe your prob & i will try to help.
I see it now but cannot read the message.
I believe that can be controlled somewhere in IE's security settings - if it's a downloaded file you're opening a file from an unknown or unsafe zone. I've killed that before in a domain using group policy, not sure where the settings will be on an individual client. Cant get to my GPO's either :/
sry, made it small as its just a 'general' wanring i thought ppl might recognise.
its basically after i try to launch an app (altiris) from it's location on a network drive :/
You need to add that network host into the trusted zone, and then set that zone to not prompt you about opening files from it.
never seen that before - where'd u set that?
i've got the inet security options up but its all focused around domains and web sites - nothing for a network drive :/
anyway, i tried to add the server address, but still haven't had any joy.
Not the network drive, the host. There is a way to put it in there, it's all about the syntax. I had the exact same issue on a 2003 terminal server, on which the user runs a bespoke S&M app straight off the network - the dialog wasn't what they wanted to see. I definitely sorted it using IE security zones, the GPO is still active in that particular domain but I cant get near them until at least the weekend, more likely net week (I'm training atm).
cheers daz :) i'll look into it
