View Full Version : I'm a happy camper because......
I've had a really really nice weekend with friends and family :)
I've had a thorough beasting at the gym this morning and managed it all.
I've bimbled around Waterstones and then spent half an hour in Costas with a hot chocolate reading.
The girls are being great.
I've got a busy week ahead (busy is good!)
Everything is in place for next week re the girls and it's the best possible solution, after several weeks of stress and worry.
My lovely friend is coming to see me Sunday evening even though I think she's an eejit for coming!
So, no misery, why are you a happy camper today?
(This hippystreak is getting out of hand.... )

I'm glad your happy again Pebs you deserve it. :)
I'm happy because I saw a word used that I've not seen for aaaages (Edinburgh meet anyone?):
bimbled
I'm happy because I just sold another bucketload of the shares I got five years ago for just being there (albeit I had to pay a pittance to get them).
Unfortunately, the taxman wants his 53% or whatever, and there are none left so no more free lunches, but meh, easy money. ;D
I'm glad your happy again Pebs you deserve it. :)
Well thank you! But what has made you happy today? :)
:D I likes being an eeejit now and again!
I is happy too... life in general is all peachy :) and when my friends are happy it makes me double happy!

*Gives Blackstar a big squishy hug. And an eskimo kiss just to be sure :) *
I'd forgotten about bimbling.

If someone can tell me what bimbling is that would make me happy. Also an Edinburgh meet would too. ;)
To bimble (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bimble).
(not sure about meaning number 4 though)
Bimble = Wander about.
One of the guys at the Edinburgh meet (AndrewP I think? Nice guy anyway) said he'd been for a bimble and there was much hilarity as nobody other than him knew what the word meant.
And yes, Edinburgh meet will rawk. Got your organising hat handy Paula?
Everyone should have a proper bimble every now and then, followed by hot chocolate and cakes!!

I tried but no one could manage it, i'm going to try again. It's my 20th in July....maybe then.
*gulp* Can't believe i'm going to be 20 next year.
Another thing that would make me happy, finding someone who can use photoshop.

YAY for a happy Pebs :D
I forgot to say that I'm a happy camper because I'm in the UK for a change! It gets better too, no foreign trips for me until 1st October when I head off to Stockholm.
This is the longest period I've been in the UK since the end of January.

what do you need done?
I can but try...
I'm a happy camper today because I've managed to rectify a disaster that was a mis-labelled can of nitrocellulose lacquer that turned out to be white instead of clear. It got sprayed on my guitar, melted into the previous clear coat (which its meant to do) and then dried. I had to sand it out today and it worked.
There's a photoshop request thread elsewhere. I'm only good with the basics so probably not good enough.

Londinium meetage??
Londinium meetage??
Absolutely!
Great news Karyn! :) Really happy that you're happy. I am happy despite getting up at 5am every day, but I can live with that.
What would make me uber happy would be for house prices and interest/mortgage rates to come plumetting down. I can't face the psychological trauma of buying a cardboard box for 5x my salary!
Other than that, life's good, good health, great friends, I'm spending time in the UK so I can see my friends.
All in all, things are good.
You may get your wish there if Alan Greenspan is right.

I'm happy because my daughter is beautiful and smiles and giggles when she see me come home from work. I'm also happy because I've finished work for the day which means I can sit down and have a nice relaxing beer before I start working on my (possible) new business.
Oh and when you say "Londinium meetage??" I assume that means London which sounds grand....

The Geordie phrase for bimble is tootle. Where one may go for a bimble about, some may go for a tootle aboot.
Bimble is in use up here too, we are very cosmopolitan up here now. Cockneys can walk the streets of Newcastle now with only a 40% chance of getting a kicking, down from 99% in the 1980s.

I did, but its used quite a bit in Sussex and moreso in Brighton.
I even have an album called Bimbling (http://www.gracenote.com/music/album.html/genfolk/9dc90cd59cb9df22e33bc5f802a8c95e.html) Wish I knew where it was, I've just twigged I haven't got it ripped onto my PC.

No, you all think Cosmo is a porn mag!
That's the national swing mate. A gordie now has a 99% chance of getting a good kicking which is up from 10% during the 80s. The sudden change for this was due to Geordies coming up with silly word like "tootle" and dodgy Chris Waddle haircuts - blahh ;)

I've had a thorough beasting
FNAR! :p
I'll be happy today in around 3 hours, when I can go home and have around 5 hours of uninterrupted gaming to finish off some games I need to attack. Work is pissing me off so I can't wait to get out of here.
I'm happy today, because I finally got off my chest [edit: 1 of the reasons] why I'm so annoyed at work! I'm now happy because I'm on the moral [although lonely] high-ground - eating lunch at my desk, planning my new website, but feeling thoroughly smug because everyone at lunch knows that I didn't go with them because I can't stand them bitching! :D
I am happy cos I get to see loads and LOADS of gorgeous girlies next weekend
AND I had a fab time at college last night taking portraits in the studio... and maybe posing for some shots as well ;)

And what was Essex you git? ;)
Far too long ago *sigh* Fond memories though ;)
If one bimbles in Scotland, is it a McBimble?
I'm happy cause I've had a proper birthday celebration for the first time in more than 5 years: mega party raving at Canvas last Saturday, nice meal and plenty of beers tonight with best friends and a pleasant meal with family that I haven't seen in quite some time this weekend! Plus I have finally found a really great woman even if she lives in Leeds!
Well, you did ask!!
ps. I call it pootling.
Pootling is most excellent! Beetling is good too :)
I'm happy coz Im pissed inn it. I may not be so thrilled dans le morning. Rar!
I'm happy because I'm flying home today. As much as I like Sweden I prefer being at home.
I'm also happy because I'm going to Aberdoom on Saturday to a wedding where I'll get to catch up with some friends who I've not seen for about 3 years.
Oh, and no more foreign travel until 15th so a whole week in the UK! :D
