View Full Version : I'm having a party!!!!!
Tonight, 5.30 to celebrate, yes CELEBRATE the premier of High School Musical 2!! WOOHOOOOO!!! I can hear your jealous gasps from here! Average age of attendees so far is 8. There will be cocktail sticks with cheese, pineapple and pickled onions although I fear the irony will be lost on the little darlings. Fairy cakes, little sausages, nuggets, mini eclairs, CHEESE BALLS! I love kiddies party food :D (They dont get birthday parties cause people forget to come in the middle of the summer hols, so we have to think of Exciting New Ideas)
Come and join the FUN! It's going to be, like, totally AWESOME!
I'll be in the corner being drip fed meths. Why do I have these ideas?
What's High School Musical 2?
I'm sorry - it is cruel but I can't help it - LOLOLOLOLOL ;D ;D ;D ;D
Will there be a cheese thread after all the little darlings have gone home/to bed?

In work the other day, there was a little girl with a singing high school musical doll. I had no idea what it was until then.
I wanna come for the cheese on sticks, not goddamn, kill it with fire, nuke it from orbit HSM ;) :p
I feel for you I really do... this is certainly worse than a night of me singing Singstar :p

What's High School Musical 2?
Seems to be something along the lines of Fame for the kiddies, IMDB link (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0475293/) for the first one. It does however star that girl (Vanessa Hudgens) who it must be hoped will bring down Disney after nude photographs were taken of her (allegedly by her co-star and boyfriend).
Can we come? Saves cooking tonight :D
Never heard of her, but why would anyone want Disney to be brought down?

It's a muscial set in a high school - lots of singing and dancing! :D However HSM 2 is set in the summer holidays of course in the country club where they're all working :p
So it's a bit like Saved by the Bell - The College Years?

Because it is a soulless corporation which seems to be pumping out substandard cartoons/films now. Apparantly I'm settling into the role of grumpy old man saying "it were better in my day" already. :)
//edit sorry, just realised this is probably overly political and narky for a party thread so feel free to delete. :)

Execpt Kelly Kapowski is played by Vanessa Anne Hudgens although Zack is played by Zac Efron ;D And they sing more.

We're having a party in the office, right now! There's soft drinks, nibbles, fruit, cakes, biscuits, even more stuffs!
Then at four we're going to the pub round the corner to carry on the party adult style!
:D

It's an all-American, all-singing, all-dancing, all-grinning, all-loving, all-perfect, teen fest! It's like a modern day Grease but without the smoking and pregnancy. It's what Disney does best.
If Pheebs has to be totally hooked on something, there are far worse things :)

cornflake cakes
fairy cakes with jelly tots on top

Ignore my misery, I'm actually really looking forward to it :) Pheebs is sooooooo excited, Sophie is having mate over too and Daisy is going around a friends for tea anyway. Happy girls tonight and when Phoebe sees all the food she'll have a fit! She kept asking if they could maybe stay for tea and I kept saying 'hmmmmm we'll see' :D

Have fun :D
Come then!
Right, time to cook :D Seeeeeeya!
MY LIFE IS OVER :(:(:(
I'm beetling about in the kitchen preparing enough food for most of the Royal Navy, as I tend to do. Anyway, Scott Mills floor fillers or whatever it's called is on and William Orbit comes on, adagio for strings. I squealed, cranked it up and shimmied around the kitchen in a slightly deranged fashion. One of the little BRATS says to Phoebe 'don't worry, my mum does this to this old music too'
ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!
She's in the skip.
In five years time, remind her that she went to a High School Musical 2 party.

I am shortly going to get myself crunched by the Chiropractor - I think that would be more pleasant than any HSM stuff !
Although the food sounds awesome and ..... TUUUUNE !! .. old my arse !
I have Rowan and her friend in my living room right now transfixed.
Like bunnies in headlights.

;D Love it! ;D
I got home to find a group of kids in the front room and a similar pile of food and drinks.
Mrs. Feek is in the back room, in the corner with a bottle of meths. I think I should introduce her to you, Pebs :D
Good god. How long is this bloody thing?
I knew someone would do that!
If I had to describe HSM I'd say it was like Grease - only sh*t.
Is it wrong that I knew what it was without asking and checking?
I knew, but I'm too squiffy to admit it.
Ah balls.
Last kid has just gone home. Sooooooooooooooooooo tired, possiblyt oo tired to raid the in-case-of-emergency-open-this bottle of wine.
Wasn't it dire. And if I eat another mini sausage I'm gonna barf.
Go on Pebs, just one wafer thin mint ;)

You realise you are close enough to be *required* to attend with mop and bucket? ;)
My dad used to listen to Judge Jules on the radio 5 or so years ago (He would have been about 55). A few of my friends witnessed this, and were put off that sho for life ;D
