So anyone else got this? Or should I say got this and is prepared to confess/admit to having it? Like me?

I got his Back To Bedlam album before the proverbial hit the fan and everyone hated his You're Beautiful song.

I quite like his second album. Seems a bit tighter in terms of quality and my favourite tracks are 1973 and Shine On.

So any other thoughts on this album?

I think it's great, definite progession into various genres, which he pulls off well. I think it's just cool to hate him nowadays, noone speaks ill of Jeff Buckley for example

I don't hate him & am far to old to worry about being cool ;D
I just don't like miserable music. Each to there own though a ;)

I quite agree. It seems to be popular to bash James Blunt. You know that his name is uhm Cockney rhyming slang yes? :o

James Blunt's music is miserable?

I thought 1973 was a pretty happy song. :D

Happy beat, slightly sad lyrics I reckon. A kind of hybrid.

I really like 1973, heard it a lot on the radio lately and it's good imo :)
I think You're Beautiful just got overplayed way too much so it got irritating. I was ill with gastric flu when it came out so just sat half unconcious watching music channels, it used to come on nearly every other song

Might give the new album a listen.

Haly may have cracked it. I have been ill all year & listening to the radio mostly. That You're Beautiful song is a right head wrecker for me.

I was introduced to his music by my ex and hence his previous album makes me feel a bit "off" - however from what I've heard of his album so far it's not bad. :)
