Courtney is so guilty of the first one. My neighbours must think I'm totally nuts stood on the doorstep talking to the cat.

Humans need to know basic rules. They can be taught if you start early and are consistent.

;D ;D

After you have ordered an "outside" door opened, stand halfway in and out and think about several things. This is particularly important during very cold weather, rain, snow, or mosquito season.

My cat's just like that! I'm sure of it. I'm *sure* I can hear her think those things! ;D

They need to add to the outside door section

"When requesting to come back inside stand still and look perplexed until the human gets fed up and starts to close the door, then walk towards it, repeat as necesarry when the human opens the door again"

Goggles must have written that. She does everything on that list.

Cleo (may she rest in peace :'( ) did a fair few of them. She loved doing the door one. We'd open door for her and she'd walk part way in and then think of stuff like "Hmm do I REALLY want to come in?" and "Well I could run round the garden one more time!" Grr get in you flaming cat!! I'm getting cold here. ;D

She also once used my brother's basement room as er a toilet. I came home from school one day and even though *it* was downstairs I was just struck by this awful smell. I had to search the whole house for the source on a hot/warm/cold/freezing scale. When I eventually tracked *it* down I almost trod on *it* as she left *it* at the bottom of the stairs. I cleaned it up as best I could.

Cleo was also a major pest when we had Sunday dinner. Did she go for the meat? Oh no! She knew we'd defend the turkey or lamb or whatever if she jumped on the table so what does she do? Makes a beeline for the broccoli! We never understood that. She'd make off with some broccoli and happily gnaw on that. Weird cat she was. But lovely. :'(
