.. you start to see shapes in your Excel spreadsheets :/

Just been messing about with this one, and put a filter on it. The parts which had been filtered formed the shape of a Christmas Tree.

Awwwww!!

Erm... yeah... bedtime or something :p

And Haly is right - Go to bed!

But I LOVE Pivot Tables :D :P

Unfortunately, the big boss had me putting together a last-minute presentation to show some important bod for the past 2 days, which has left me NO TIME doing what I'm supposed to be doing. So I've brought it home to do in the peace and quiet. Boo! :( I wouldn't mind, but most of it is nothing to do with me. I just happened to be around when he wanted a lacky to do his work for him.

I did an intermediate Excel course last year and we covered pivot tables. Yeah, they can do lots but I only did the course because there was a spare place and I blagged it! The person who does the training sits opposite me in the office every day anyway so it was a pure blag for a day out!

If you asked me about pivot tables at work now, I'd point you at her :)

Yeah, unfortunately the new buyer is like you :P She's come from a company where admin people do all the data stuff, so she's absolutely ZERO idea how to do anything meaningful on Excel. That means that I've just been a data monkey for the last 2 weeks, sorting out contract information for 7,500 parts, most of which are subject to our absolutely horiffic data integrity issues on SAP. ARGH tbh!

So, whilst I'm flattered that our Global Purchasing Director wants me to spend 2 days running around like an idiot doing a presentation for him... I'm a little pissed off because I wanted to finish these damn contract lists.

END OF RANT!

I think Lostkat actually needs January to come around rather than getting some sleep. :p

Santa, I'd like a hunky admin assistant for Christmas please. The bespectacled spotty youth given to us on the grad scheme is useless!

Contracts will be all done for Christmas, and then that's IT for around 3 years. Huraah!

Right, my eyes have now turned to blue flashing cells, so I'm going to do a VLOOKUP for my bed.

I found a "Nipple" a minute ago, but just couldn't be arsed to screenshot it. We also regularly talk about flanges at work. :D

I'll come and assist you in all ways that I can? ;)

I've had some funny illusions at work too - but that's probably the drugs :p

In my case I know I'm working too hard when I wake up in the morning and don't have a clue what country I'm in. I'm usually ok after a few minutes but it's a very strange feeling to not know where you are.

I know I'm working too hard when I have to peel my coveralls off due to them being soaked with sweat. I shouldn't be getting sweaty like that - I need more lackeys.

Working in the southern Mediterranean isn't as glamorous as it may seem :(

I know I'm working too hard when I sit down for my lunch at 5, having started at 7.

I know I'm working hard when I have elevenses, lunch and tea in the office. The only thing I eat at home is dinner, and breakfast.

Yes, much guffawing to be had at strange part names. Somehow the engineers just don't see it though. They have their own little pet names for things too, like "The Bog Chain" and "The Spongebob Seal". Strange, bearded men!

I'll come and assist you in all ways that I can? ;)
Oh bloody hell, I'd never get ANYTHING done!!

Well, today was hectic but as you can see I actually managed to leave at a reasonable time (yes, that's why I get up at 5:30am). The presentation went well from what I can tell, but I didn't realise just HOW important the bloke they were doing it to was. It was my boss's boss's boss's boss's boss! EEK! There must have been well over £1m of management in that room. Glad I wasn't in there!! No wonder he was stressing over it so much. I did get a thank you afterwards though so he's almost forgiven for being a picky, anal bastardface.

And the parts lists are DONE and sent out to all suppliers.

C'est le weekend  Chill out folks!! x
