Just noticed on play that it's out. Gonna kick off the demo download in a bit and may even pop over to Tescos later to buy some food and accidentally buy a copy.

Anyone played it yet?

Played the Demo and it was a bit tricky, I don't think I'd want to pay full price for the game though, it doesn't strike me as a premium title.

Release date is Friday isn't it?

It's in the shops friday but some online retailers are shipping already. Chances are it won't beat Friday in the shops thou with all the mail backlog.

Not my cup of tea either way :)

To be honest I'm not a big racing games fan anyway, so I'm not the best person to ask about it ;D

I'm a big racing game fan, so I'll have a blast on it later and see what I think. The reviews aren't that positive so far though.

Had a decent go on this earlier after my first quick blast last night. Have to say it really isn't my cup of tea :/

Whilst the graphics are nice and the weather is mightily impressive, the lack of any car damage and the arcade driving feel to it just really put me off. I guess I'm more of a sim style driver at heart.

Give me Forza2 with some weather and some trye change pitstops in the races and it would be awesome.

Either I really suck or this game is HARD, I can barely win on Silver ! Gold and Platinum I stand no chance.

I loved it, but then I have since MSR. As arcadey as it is MSR was the first game that really taught me how to race more than just bash my way around the track. I didn't care about loosing seconds, but I did care about knocking the barrier and loosing my kudos points. I don't really like the bikes in PGR4 but the weather effects are cool and it handles nicely. I loved PGR2 and always remember taking corners at 80mph, drifting 2mm away from the barrier. I also loved the PGR3 games we had on OcUK a few years back. Such fun :D

Well I spent a bit of time with the demo last night and I have to say I don't like it. It feels a big step backwards from PGR3 and it's just nowhere near as fun as I think it should be. Maybe the full game will be more enjoyable, but it's not something I'll now be rushing out to buy.
