I got Phoenix Wright and Nanostray as I already got Mario Kart, wanted a 2D shooter and this seems decent. When i went to my local store in Hereford they hardly got anything on the shelf, but i asked and they had LOADS in the draws behind the desk, so make sure you ask. :)

The full list are

* Tetris DS
* Phoenix Wright
* Mario Kart DS
* Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends
* Rayman DS
* Nanostray
* Tak: The Great Juju Challenge
* ATV Quad Bike Frenzy
* King Kong
* James Pond: Robocod
* Ultimate Spiderman
* Tony Hawk's American Sk8land
* Robots
* Scooby-Doo: Unmasked
* Spongebob Squarepants: The Yellow Avenger
* Spongebob Squarepants And Friends: Unite!
* Dragonball Z
* The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe
* Finding Nemo
* The Incredibles

I'm really tempted but I really shouldn't :(
Then again I only really want Phoenix Wright, I'd probably get James Pond too.
Perhaps luckily, I won't get a chance to go to Woolies till Wednesday at the earliest.

The beauty of Mario Kart is that if you are behind in the races you get the best weapons and items. So it even the playing field some what, there was a few races against Daz where I was leading for 2/3 laps and then he got a few magic blue missles shells and shot me down and he overtook me. :'(

Good Driving doesn't mean you will win in Mario Kart.

Bahaha, just in town with a colleague of mine, had a chat about my DS. He bought one there and then.

I took a quick look in woolies whilst I was just in town and was briefly tempted by a silver DS with Mariokart for £90 but decided it was a silly idea, i can't afford to buy myself toys atm and it'll hardly get used.

Aye. I compared my DS to my friends DS lite at the weekend and his is definately the better choice. The screens are a lot brighter and it feels more comfortable to use.

Wi-Fi Features - Online Battling and Online Trading

Online battling and online trading will be available in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl via the DS Wi-Fi connection. It will also have online voice chat. The Wi-Fi features can be accessed through the lower level of a Pokemon Center.
Online trading would be awesome. Save a lot of evolution problems when you only have a single cartridge.

'kin hell, I wasn't even aware a release date was confirmed for the Japs let alone a month away :eek:

Well I went into Woolworths today and there was no sign of this offer. Does anyone know if it's limited to certain places, or it was limited time and it now over? Mario Kart was £29.99 :(.
There was a single stand tucked away at the end of the electronics section for it in the Hinckley Woolies.

I want a DS now :( I could have bought one with my leftover money from my holiday but I got 2 Xbox games, 3 360 games and a wired 360 pad instead. Now wondering whether I made the right choice, especially after reading reviews for Trauma Centre and Phoenix Wright.

Davey_Pitch
16-08-2006, 14:36
You play a defence lawyer called Phoenix Wright, and you have to save people who appear to be very guilty to start with. You get to interview people, examine crime scenes and collate evidence, then go to trial to try to save them. It seems a pretty interesting game :)

Daz

Might be one for after Reading.

Just double checking the order...

IF woolies in Hackney (might check the stokie one as well due to needing to up there anyway) has the 2 for £26, and IF either has these games in stock....

1xMario Kart

Yeah, there were. The 2 for £26 offer games I found looked like all/mostly Game Boy/GBA titles. Well, definitely no offers on any DS games at all in my store, so either the offer expired or someone in-store goofed. I even asked two staff to make absolutely sure. :(

No problem getting 'em (multiple copies too), but at full whack only.

Out of interest is animal crossing actually good to play? Cos im thinking about getting it for my birthday as it looks fun to play on wifi! xx

It's quirky, girls seems to love it. You have a small villlage that you contribute to and with wifi you can go visit friends. and chat to them live with messages on screen, there's a QWERTY keyboard on screen that you can type with the stylus.

Now iv ordered animal crossing im tempted to buy my own ds lite because my brother has a tendency to either
a) lose his ds
b) swap it for something like a pokemon card at school
c) leave games around lose them
d) break it

oooh only £99 too!

Quick question, my DS has a single knackered pixel, is it worth sending back?

Burble
21-08-2006, 19:08
I would (infact I did as the first one I got head a dead pixel) - you paid for a DS in perfect condition so you should have one.

You ain't kidding! I had a copy waiting for me when I got home and I can't stop playing.

It's very well done, and yes, a total gimmick.

Same here. I've actually reached my first really hard operation, that I've failed on my first 3 attempts, so I'll be spending a bit more time on that tonight I think.

That'll probably be changing the wireless encryption, I had to do the same. I dunno, some people will use any excuse to get more practice ;)

I'll definitely be getting them both at some point in the future :)
Right now my DS is still the most played console I own, so it's definitely worth it.
