Wow i'd never noticed the problem, but i think i have had history go missing now come to think about it which has confused me, when i've been following tutorials online and using the history to save time. Thats such an obvious simple fix when you think about it too... Funny that bash hasn't been edited to allow that by default really...

Thats where it hits me most. I use screen a lot, its become part of my standard steps when I log in to a server. Its such a useful tool, especially if there is any danger of a connection dropping :)
