Well I kinda messed up. Got it on the PC and it's blooming excellent!!! so the reason why I messed up is.... I was going to cancel my PC order and re-order for a 360 version..... maybe if I get rich I'll order a second copy for the 360 so I can blow some of you guys up instead.....

Yup should have covered some of those key points really.

Ok, well last night I did the first few levels, the first one is on a ship and is sort of like a training mission, the whole level is rocking side to side and you need to pay attention and work with your team or you become brown bread pretty quick. I found it a little annoying as I wanted to rush of ahead and whack some of the baddies but felt I was being held back.

I won't go into the rest of the levels or any more detail about the ship as it might spoil the story.

Not got any screenie's yet, I'll take some tonight whilst I'm playing.

As for how it runs, well I've maxed out everything apart from AA which I've only got on 2x and it runs smooth like silk, might try the 4x tonight it should run smooth still on that.

COD 4 in my opinion, got GOW on the 360 and it is brilliant but I think better suited to the 360.

Not played the halflife games never really been that interested.

COD4 arrived on my doorstep yesterday but I didn't see it till I was heading out the door at 5:30 this morning as my housemate had "put it somewhere safe". I'm now stuck at Hanover airport waiting for a delayed flight so I can go home and start playing :D

Just done the first A120 mission. Actually quite disturbing to think of one of those circling a battlefield. I likes the 120mm gun :o

Sorry I didn't answer your Live message before Leo, I've turned notifications off so I didn't even see it come through.

Definitely loving this on MP. Some people I've played against are just scarily good shots, but the majority seem to be around my level which means I often do well. The better I know the map the better I do though, which is no surprise. Knowing where people will be is a huge advantage.

Are you and MB on the same difficulty level? I know it's meant to be really hard on Veteran (maybe Hardened too).

waiting for the chopper to arrive, I have my difficulty set on Hardened and I get rid of 3 chopper squads but still keep being over run. I'm considering lowering the difficulty as I simply can't get past it :(

Grab the sniper rifles in front of where you drop your partner and make sure you plant the claymores to catch anyone who tries to flank you. You can also pop the guys as they rapell which really helps :)

Don't forget that in the Ghillie level, he guy you are with can't die while you are actually waiting for the chopper to arrive (or so I've been told). 1 thing you have to be aware of is people flanking you, I placed claymores near the ferris wheel on both sides as they had a tendancy to get on there making killing them difficult.

Out of curiosity, those who have completed the game, did you watch all the credits? if not you should do there's one last bit at the end. (PC Version at least)

Indeed, just finished the PC version and it was all good. It didn't run too well on my PC so I think a fresh install is called for.

Tried it on Veteran difficulty Will? I found that very very hard, though I'm not very good at FPS games on the PC so not sure how difficult you'd find it :)

Yeah, took me 30 mins to do once I got a feel for the game. I love it - definitely going to purchase it since I can cane it on my computer now. :)

Sky Dive to Safety on Veteran Difficulty, only worth 20 points, but as it's Veteran only you have a stupid amount of time to do it in, something like 45 seconds. Takes some people a few tries before getting it.

I played the tutorial (fire a few shots, how rubbish was that) and the first level in SP and it was thoroughly enjoyable, looking forward to slowly working my way through.

Played it this morning after getting stuck on the mission with the helicopter crash, trying to fight my way into the barn. Had a shot this morning and got it, just needed a slightly different approach :D

Then went up in the C-130 and shot the **** out of everyone...that bit is GREAT!!!!

Played "All Ghillied Up" last night.....OH MY GOD!!!! That level is frickin' awesome. The atmosphere is intense, the level just seems so real...INCREDIBLE!!!

Not finished it off yet, just starting my fight back the evac zone.

Well I went back to the single player this morning and for the time being dropped the difficulty and completed All Ghillie'd up and thought it was excellent. Infact I'm really really liking the rest of the levels.

One thing that is cool is the way they've used parts of the SP game in the MP levels. It's cool coming across a structure or area and realising I've played it in the MP maps.

I'm using the PC version and I'm absolutely loving it, all gfx are on full whack, bar the resolution, but that's ok I've just gone a nice simple widescreen resolution that isn't too tough, and it still looks beautiful! I've disabled the ambient music as it's too loud and you can't reduce it's volume, besides I doubt soldiers listen to their ipods whilst picking off charlie echos!

Sgt Jackson has just been KIA in the nuclear explosion - god this game is intense, the game play is good, the AI is fantastic, and I love the interaction with things around, and the fact that a door isn't bulletproof. It's great that you can also chuck back grenades (though often I peg it out of the way :-$). I'm making a bit of progress but haven't had much time to play, but it really is quite challenging on Hardened, which is good, it's more realistic, and I like to sneak around slowly anyway :p However one thing I noticed is that they tend to aim for you, no matte rhow many comrades you have around you, it seems to be you they're after :( I feel so picked on.

I'll try MP once I've completed it. So far my favourite missions are the SAS ones - the SAS just kicks arse - furthermore silenced weapons are just so slick - I miss firing them in real life, and they've got it just right on this. :cool:

I'd love to play this with some of you hardcore players, shame most of you have it on the xbox :(

Anyway, I haven't bought any computer games in ages, and I'm glad I did!

Just completed it :( Shorter game than I thought it would be. Absolutely awesome - I hope they keep it up for the next release! I'll have to give MP a go - but I think I need to complete it on Veteran - I managed to do the training mission nearly in the "record" time - but it does require accurate instantaneous shooting and a lot of fluidity and getting everything "just right" - I fear that the game will be very difficult and require lots of one shot kills to get anywhere.

What does annoy me a little is that unless you advance the charlies just keep coming - whereas it would make more sense to hold cover until you feel the coast is clear or that you've cleared the majority of the hostiles. However if you suddenly advance - the bandits seem to stop multiplying - how odd!

I loved the secret mission at the end on "air force one". :cool:

i heard you can get all golden though but dnt remember how - care to enlighten us?

you need to complete every challenge for that category, e.g. kills & headshots for Assault Rifles weapons gives you a golden AK47

From what i can tell prestige mode resets everything to level 1 except your stats so yes you do all the challenges again.

yeah it resets everything (weapons, level, challenges) the only thing that doesn't change is your stats (xp points total, leaderboard rankings) and then of course you get a fancy badge depending on how many times you've played through the 55 levels!

I do like the weapons I've unlocked I must admit, but the idea of a nice shiny badge is tempting. I'll see what I decide when I finally get there :)
