I'm just finishing up for Christmas now so having recently passed the first anniversary of self employment (mid November time), I thought I'd update on how things have been going.

The 148apps stuff has continued to flourish :) I'm a senior staff writer there (one of 3) and have had plenty to be getting on with there. I've also dabbled in hardware reviewing courtesy of a fancy MiCoach gadget that Adidas sent my way along with some silly expensive football boots (:shocked:). EA also rather kindly sent me over a goodie bag for Christmas with, amongst other things, copies of Battlefield 3 and Need for Speed: The Run :D

Freebies aside...

I wrote another feature for GamePro for Thanksgiving titled Attack of the Mutant Turkeys: Our 10 Favorite Moments of Poultry Themed Violence. Very fun to write!

Unfortunately, not long after the article went live, the site was closed and merged with PCWorld.com so I can't link to it (although can provide my copy if anyone is keen to see!).

On the plus side, I'm now contributing for PCWorld.com :D

Only started on Monday and I've only written one news post so far: http://www.pcworld.com/article/246738/sony_playstation_vita_launches_with_technical_prob lems.html but I'm hoping in the New Year to ramp that up a lot as it's great exposure as well as pays well :)

Feeling very good about things at the moment! Here's hoping it continues :)

I don't think anyone did :( A friend of mine was a contributing editor for the site and posted news on it daily. He didn't know about it till everyone else did! :(
