^^ That's how it is on the website & in store. The only indication was two signs/posters actually in the store. Doris at the desk checked up & the manager confirmed the deal. They did say something about not being able to return it to them though. Anyone know what that's all about ? I was chatting to Desmo & we worked out that i can get a cheap Hub for connecting it to my NTL250 modem, Is this right ? Just split it into 4 & have 1 for my PC & the other for the 360. I want to hard wire it, I've never been up for wireless for my gaming.
I'm hoping for a free month of Gold in the box but if not I'll nip down the shop & sort that out. Then do the account recover thing to assign the silver over.
I've got a few games to get into & get my hand back used to a controller. Apart from that i am King of the Noobs :)
Also I've only got a standard TV. Do i need any cables etc

Not sure if the cable modem itself will dish out or work with more than 1 IP at a time. If it doesn't you'd need a router in the middle, or keep switching the box you want online..

Router needed if you want PC & xbox to access the net at the same time otherwise you'll only be able to use one at a time and will need to reboot the CM inbetween :/

The CM will only dish out 1 IP addy so you'll need a router, you should be able to pick up some pretty cheap ones these days tbh so shouldn't cost much :)

Well it's plugged in & I've took PGR3 for a test drive single player style.
My first thought is Damn isnt it Noisy & that was before the game was even running. Once the game was running who cares as i can't hear owt but screeching tyres & engines :)
Sitting on a Huge cushion on the floor with the controller feels great & i am one happy chappy :cool:
I've sorted a decent cool flat place for the 360 & after this food break i am going to hook up to live & have a nose around. One of the games comes with a months free Gold so alls good in the hood :D

Malc, if you can get a VGA cable (Official) then you can run it to your PC monitor. You'll have High-Definition graphics then and it turns it from good looking games to stunning looking games.

I've mainly played PGR3 but have tried one or two of the other games. Sidewinder was right though they are mostly crap. Great games for young'uns if anyone wants to trade.

I use my 360 through a 19" Widescreen monitor, looks much better than the TV :) And that's even with an unofficial VGA cable which is meant to look poorer anyhow.
