Very kind of you karbon but i feel it should go to someone else as i have my 360 now & far to many games on that to get through to take on another.

Yup its PC. Your GFX card might struggle a little bit, and 512Mb might mean it swaps a bit, but hey its free :)

Sure :) You'll need a steam account first: http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php
Register on there and download the steam client. Tell me your username and I'll chuck my gifts in your direction (I bet its not every day you get an offer like that ;))

I've played HL2 on an Athlon 1.2ghz with a Geforce 2 GTS and 512mb Ram, admittedly it was at 800x600 since that was the highest resolution the monitor would support but it does scale pretty well. :)

Can anyone point me to a walk-through of these two? I don't seem to get very far at all in either of them. Certainly not to any point where there's blood and gore at all.

Certainly not to any weapons in HL2. Of course, in HL2E1 you get the gravity gun to begin with, but I can't get to the core at all. In HL2 I get outside to the street, but can't get anywhere else.

I might just be thick when it comes to these things, but the last FPS I played was Quake. The original.
