Just seen it on the BBC website.

I always thought he was a bit of a knob but I met him at a magicians convention at Blackpool a few years ago and spent a while chatting to him, he was actually a nice guy and a very good magician.

It's a shame - He was only 59 :(

I was just about to post the exact same thing. Very nice chap, did tons for charity (got an MBE for his work?) and will be missed.

I had the Jeremy Beadle box of jokes and magic - had some awesome practical jokes in it which I used to great effect. Such a shame. :(

Awww.. he could be a really irritating sod, but in a kind of an "everyone loves to hate him" way. Could never be mortally offended by anything he did, and his alien prank has to go down in history as one of the greatest TV pranks ever ;D

Hope you make 'em laugh upstairs when you get there.

If a relative dressed up in a dodgy outfit with a beard did it I'm sure it's what he'd have laughed at. RIP JB.

One of few celebs I've spoken to. I remember asking about the Arsenal.. I tried to pull a gag but he didn't laugh.. Was a few years back..

"Watch out Beadles about (or not about now haha)" and "You've been framed" were cool back then.. Shame they've been flogged to death.. Opps bad pun!

I just got one from my friend's husband who is always in with the distasteful jokes..

Actually I'm not going to post it as its wrong and I didn't get it till I read the one MB was referring to.

Apparently he wants to be cremated and have the remains scattered around the family garden to re-join the carbon cycle there.

ITV producers have said he may well be back in the Autumn season with "Watch out, Beadle's a sprout"
