This afternoon, rather than being at work I opted for going to see this musical (written by Queen and Ben Elton).

Well...

What can I say?

It was absolutely stupendous! :D

Was about three hours long (including interval) but didn't feel anywhere near that long!

The general story is your usual post-apocalyptic world where the outcasts from the new society rally against the system and revolt.

This time though, the apocalypse is not a war, but rather the death of Rock  and the entire show is based around the songs of Queen.

Frigging superb it was :D

Here's the song list so you can see if you can figure out how the story ran :p

Innuendo
Radio Ga Ga
I Want To Break Free
Somebody To Love
Killer Queen
Play The Game
Under Pressure
A Kind Of Magic
I Want It All
Headlong
No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young)
Ogre Battle (Instrumental)
One Vision
Who Wants To Live Forever
Flash
Seven Seas Of Rhye
Don't Stop Me Now
Another One Bites The Dust
Hammer To Fall
These Are The Days Of Our Lives
We Will Rock You
We Are The Champions
We Will Rock You (Fast Version)
Bohemian Rhapsody

I'd recommend it to anyone who loves Queen, or anyone that loves a good, tongue-in-cheek rock musical :D

Saw it a few years ago with Mrs. Feek and it was excellent, we'd like to take the kids but it's just so damn expensive.

It's written by Ben Elton, so it's a bit of politics, knob gag, and Queen music. :D

Think I've seen it 4 times now. The original cast was still the best. :D

Well worth it too.

I went for free in 2004 or 2005. Had just finished my first year of Uni after spending two years working as a teaching assistant in a school. One of my ex-colleagues organised the trips and needed some spare staff members to mind the students. My Mum, a MAHOOSIVE Queen fan, got herself on the trip and asked the organising teacher if I could go as well. If there were any spare tickets I could, he said. Well there were and I went. And it was BRILLIANT. Such a good show. Ruined only by the stupid immature young kids from another school waving their glowsticks around for the slower songs.

Those Glosticks are a new addition.... the first time I went to see it they were not there. Much better for it too.

They just annoy me.

Yeah. I think they are sold from the gift shop? My bringing up tells me to buy from the gift shop AFTER the sodding show and not before or during it. Noobs.

All the kids on my trip were moaning about it on the drive home.
