Right. Figured it might be nice to have a thread with shops, review sites, photo sites you like in and such.

Shops
-------

www.warehouseexpress.com
www.jessops.com
www.amazon.co.uk
www.digitalrev.com (Hong Kong based but great)
www.onestop-digital.com/catalog (I think they're based in the UK but buy in from HK)
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/FLASH-CAMERA (The great Kerso. Known to many forumites. Fully trustable and generally cheaper than most places. I've spent nearly £2k with him)
BH Photo (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/HelpCenter/NYSuperStore.jsp) - The classic New York camera store.
camerabox.co.uk (http://camerabox.co.uk)

Review sites
--------------

www.dpreview.com (Generally the best and your first port of call)

Photographers
----------------

James Nacthwey (http://www.jamesnachtwey.com) - Incredible photographer. He does war photography and I have no idea how he sleeps at night.
Henri Cartier-Bresson (http://www.magnumphotos.com/Archive/C.aspx?VP=XSpecific_MAG.PhotographerDetail_VPage&l1=0&pid=2K7O3R14T1LX&nm=Henri%20Cartier%20-%20Bresson) - Invented street photography
Robert Capa (http://www.magnumphotos.com/Archive/C.aspx?VP=XSpecific_MAG.PhotographerDetail_VPage&l1=0&pid=2K7O3R14YQNW&nm=Robert%20Capa) - Amazing guy. He chose to be on the boats going to Normandy for D-Day. He chose! His work inspired Spielberg for Saving Private Ryan. He always said "If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough." Apparently he said that just before standing on a landmine.
Ansel Adams (http://www.anseladams.com/) - He changed the way people meter light in photography and produced iconic b&w images of America.
Dave Hill (http://www.davehillphoto.com/) - Brilliant portrait photographer.
The image is found (http://theimageisfound.com/) - Brilliant portrait photography team

Do you recommend Flickr over Photobucket then?

Photobucket is basically a storage site isn't it? Flickr has a lot more to it. Its more of a community site where you join groups of like minded people and share your images. Flickr also has something called "Explore." Through some random algorithm every day the site picks the top 500 images, and they're usually stunning. www.flickriver.com lets you browse them.

I got some stuff from camerabox.co.uk and that was pretty good and cheap.

and you can tag your piccies too (on Flickr)

And geotag too. It also has Places (http://flickr.com/places/). Type in a place and find groups, photos and photographers there. Liverpool (http://flickr.com/places/United+Kingdom/England/Liverpool) for example. It also has the camera finder (http://flickr.com/cameras/). So you can see what you can really get from your camera before you buy it. Very handy.

Photobucket is basically a storage site isn't it?
Pretty much, yeah. Sinead has an account for all of our pics. It's OK for what we need but you can't really do all that much with it.
