My first hit and run incident in a car park.
http://www.pertheus.co.uk/pics/mondeodent.JPG
Got back to my car @ Pink Elephant parking @ Heathrow last night to find this and no note on the windscreen
The carpark company couldn't give a **** which is equally annoying as I (well my company) have handed over £1500+ in the last year.
Looks like I'm not going on my mates Stag Do in May as the £400 I'd allocated for that will have to go on repairs. Could go through insurance but that would load my premiums by 10% for the next years which will cost me more in the long run.
Bastads, and that looks like it's screwed both panels :(
I hated airport parking for that particular reason! I'm sorry to hear that dude - that sucks. A lot. :(
tossers! Yep that happened to me on the M6 toll road services carpark. Mint focus so I parked away from the other cars, come back and the rear wheel arch is buggered. I was about to get it sorted when some git then did the other one. Nobody cares any more and no that isn't through rose tinted specs. If I ever see someone hitting another car and driving off I'll write a note as a witness, leave on the car for the other person.
I'll be sorting it this summer as the car is fine bar that, but its going to be the wrong side of 4-500 as the panel will need respraying and I will want a exact match.
You should see all the dents on my dads 309 from carparks. He washes it every two weeks, keeps it in the garage and still it gets covered.

Looks a nasty knock to me with it clipping the arch. Bumma Dude. I never understand why we have to pay for parking if it is not protected or you are not covered by There insurance

All of the dents and scratches on mine poor little car have been anonymous, without even a note for a single one! :(
That sucks :( Why do you think I was so suprised that the guy who bumped my corssa left a note? Definitely the minority of people who hit cars are honest people
Doesn't look as though it's gone through the paint. TBH I'd probably just T-cut out as many of the visible scuffs as possible and leave it at that for now. Enjoy the stag do and maybe get the panels straightened out when you are getting ready to sell the car.
It does indeed suck :/
We discovered another dent in Barney when we were at Fakey's the other weekend. No idea where it came from.

There is a huge dent in the wheel arch that you can't really see in the picture and lots of through paint damage. Want to get it sorted quickly before it gets effected by all the salt on the road at the moment. Going to get a "bodge it" and "insurance" price off the bodyshop. Hopefully the bodge it price will only be a couple of hundred £££ and the stag do will be back on :) Car is already covered in parking dings as I have to park in the local Social club car park due to an ongoing dispute between the local Police Community Officer, the Council and my landlord. If my landlord wins then the council WILL be paying for a lot of repairs!
I knocked the wing mirror of a Porsche last year in a car park. I wasn't paying enough attention as I was too busy arguing with the (then) missus. I was horrified, it was obviously new. Still, I wasn't going to be a **** so I left a note. The guy rang me that night and said he was really impressed that I'd fessed up, and not to worry about the repairs charge. I told him not to be silly but he seemed sure that he would be able to get his company to cover it. What a leg-end!

Have booked flights for the Stag Do. **** em, I'm not going to stop enjoying myself because of someone elses nastyness! Sure Mr Egg won't mind another month or two of interest off me.
Mine looks the same after I badly parked into a mr2.
However the difference is, I left a note and paid £200 (was expecting more) for her to repair it. Didn't repair my own though, my own stupid fault.
Some people just can't don't a toss, gotta hope that one day it'll come back and bite them but that I fear is only in the movies.
Hope you can get it cheaper than expected - as others have said t-cut can work wonders.

GAHHH!!!!
Driving down to Gatwick yesterday morning on the M25 and a van pulls into my lane, I back off the throttle to increase the gap back to 2 seconds but before I can get good visibility the van drives over a delaminated lorry tire flicking it up into the air where it promptly hits the front of my car. Guessing at new bumper and headlight so with the other damage it looks like I'm going to claim

These things come in threes so I wonder what's next
oh my god, did the van bloke stop? that's ridiculous!

That sucks... some drivers are idiots. Driving back from work last year on two separate occasions I had had half a mangled bumper flicked up at me from a car infront doing 70, and a full metal wheelbarrow get blown off a truck bed and land 10m away from me (doing 70mph, 10m is no distance as I'm sure I dont have to explain!)
Alas - what can you do!

Well these things come in 3s and number 3 was yesterday courtesy of me!
I'd clearly disengaged the male part of my brain when I start reversing at a petrol station and reverse into a sign post :numpty:
Suprised how much damage a 2mph collision has done.
So I now have:
Carpark - Right rear quarter and rear door caved in.
Tyre - Front bumper cracked, headlight cluster broken, bonnet scuffed
Petrol Station - Rear bumper cracked, rear left light cluster broken and left rear quarter caved in.
Good job my mate knows a friendly body shop!
Also worth noting that the car needs 2 front tyres, a service and a new right rear wheel bearing. Ah well it's not like I need my money for anything useful ;D
If it's any consolation I was backing my brothers car up with the back window all steamed up and I couldn't see a thing. I tapped into a lamp post at waaaaaay less than 2mph and it smashed the back window out. BAAAAANG it went! It put a crease right where the glass sits in the tailgate so I had to replace the whole damn thing :(

That's real crap news dude but i did say it looked a nasty knock. Although it looks only a small ding it covers some nasty areas.
I have to say though that i would have said closer to a Grand though but then i do know people in the trade.

The problem is that 3 out of 4 corners of the car are damaged so it's 2 new bumpers and 2 new light clusters and the bodywork damage I did last weekend is quite severe.

2.5 seems about right then & at least you'll get a Mint car back. Silver linings & all that :)
