Can anybody suggest a decent indoor digital aerial?

My TV is struggling to get even the most basic channels from the aerial port on my wall. Getting only a handfull of freeview and bbc1/chan4 with really bad signal currently even with one of those signal boosters (stick it in a plug socket and attach an input and output)

Probably going to go to Maplin at some point tomorrow but don't really know what to go for. Always just bought cheap ones in the past but now could do with something half decent so i can pick up all channels :)

No such thing, unless you live on top of a transmitter.

Loms speaks the truth, the use of the words "decent" and "indoor aerial" when spoken in the same sentence is an oxymoron.

You can get those that are slightly better than crap, but that's about it. Amplifiers (boosters) are only any real use when you have a good signal because they not only increase signal but they increase noise as well, they can't improve the signal to noise ratio you're already getting.

You ponyed up £500 for a TV, just spend £50 on an outside aerial!?!!

well i live in a block of (student) flats so just have ports on the wall for tv/inet/elecy
No control over owt which sucks and inet/tv connections appear proper budget stuff! :(

its a bit weird though that the freeview is all fine in the next room down... must be the same aerial as its within the same wall!?!

Ahhhhh, i see... Yeah should be alright, i used the inbuilt wall sockets last year and managed freeview, any amplifier should do then i guess if your other tv is ok... Tried the freeview box next door in your socket? See if its faulty wiring or your tv?

well i ended up stopping at maplin on my way past, picked up a decent indoor aerial and terrestrial is now almost perfect. Freeview is still only picking up limited channels, but it does now have bbc... just missing E4 now :( then thats pretty much all i watch.
If i can be arsed later i'll try our spare freeview.
