Stargate SG1: The Ultimate Poll

I hope there are a few sci-fi fans here so this thread doesn't die a slow and painful death.. ;D

The question is simple:

Who was the best character from the SG1 team (prior to the new guys for S9 & 10, they don't count, pretenders! :p)?

Jack all the way for me. What a leg-end. If you were taken prisoner by Chuck Norris, you would want Jack to be the man they sent to save your sorry ass.

Best Jack episode was I think in Season 7. They gate to a new address and the wormhole accidentally goes through a Sun, which causes a chain reaction and the sky turns red. SG1 arrange for a rocket to built and launched into the Sun which they accidentally broke, except the local population believe it is a sign from their Gods, and they destroy the rocket leaving the planet doomed to total annihilation. There is a scene where Jack pins the main culprit on the ground and tells him what he's done - it is an AWESOME scene, the look of utter disgust and hopelessness on Jack's face is so striking.

Ahem, can you tell I like a bit of Stargate? :o

That's my favouritest ever episode - I love the bit where Jack hands in his notice and kisses Sam just before the day starts all over again :D

I'm going to have to vote for Jack, he just edges it over Teal'c.

I am utterly ashamed to say that I have still not seen the last season. I used to watch SG with my now ex girlfriend, and I haven't been able to sit down to it since. Annoying, because allegedly the last ever episode is really rather good. :(

I'm the same. Haven't seen most of S9 or S10, nor the last two Atlantis seasons either. :'(

And yes, I'm another one who likes that episode. Just to add a bit of balance - the bit with Teal'c where he rams the door closed after getting it shoved into his face for the umpteenth time. :)

I put Teal'c just because no matter the situation, he is a cool mother ****er. Plus he has the cool tattoo. And I am currently going through all the seasons thank you to Netflix. I'm on Season 10 right now awaiting disc 2 and 3. Then I've got Atlantis in my queue...
