What would happen if a Borg tried to assimilate a changeling?
I cannot think of this ever happening in any episode, so just wondering what people think?
:D

I'm going through DS9 again, just got me thinking :D
You know thats an interesting question. Its possible a Changeling could get taken over but then when he changes shape all his implants would fall off.

I would like to see how a Borg and a Jem Hadar get on together ;D
I doubt it would successfully happen, the dominion can liquidise itself, convert to gasses and solidify at will, so I'd expect it to be able to repel the foreign nanites. I think they'd probably be the only species the Borg would be unable to adapt, though I suspect they'd never cease trying.

Wouldn't a changeling just morph-erate into a Borg so they couldn't tell if it had been assimilated or not? :D
I thought that when the borg assimilated someone they injected into the "veins" of whatever it was, which changelings wouldn't have...I think...
Its been way too long since I saw DS9 :o
During assimilation the nanomachines would control the new drone's behaviour, obviously including any urge to shape shift. Depends how quick they can change shape, assimilation is a pretty quick process, the Borg usually go for the jugular (literally) when injecting billions of those nanomachines. :p

What is there to actually interact with? They have no veins, cerebral cortex per se, nothing for the nanites to even deal with.

Probably immune in that case. Add them to the list of species the Borg can't assimilate, such as Species 8472.
I'd like to see the bastards try and assimilate me *brandishes keyboard*
Surely you'd be the type to do what Picard did on the holodeck in First Contact. Fill 'em full of lead. :D
