Queen (Well minus Freddie and John plus Paul) are to release a new album this September. It will be Queen's first new material album since Made In Heaven (1995).

I for one will be getting this and will be trying my damnest best to get tickets to a concert.

So anyone else Queen fans? Going to get this album? If not, why not? Because it isn't a Queen with Freddie piece of work?

Oh hell yeah.

Wembley 1986 rocked. ;) *I was 8..... :D*
As did Knebworth 1986.
As did the Freddie Tribute show.

I missed the 2005 tour with Paul, but I will go to this one. Bought the DVD though and it really was surprisingly good.

Soooo 13th October - O2 arena for me *I hate the O2, but it's the nearest venue...*

Half the reason I want to get it. To see what it is like without Freddie and Deacon.

Well it's only half of Queen really, so I don't know how appropriate I feel the Queen name is for it.

It's just Brian May and Roger Taylor... I expect the music will be good, but it won't be Queen.

Got to agree with that. There's no doubt there's some serious talent there, but Queen included Mercury and Deacon. Should be a different name IMO, similar to Guns n Roses need renaming...

Will listen with interest though :)

Hence its called "Queen + Paul Rodgers"! Not "Queen & Paul Rodgers" but "Queen + Paul Rodgers". :D

It'll be good but it won't be the Queen we know and love.

Yeah but Queen was Mercury, May, Taylor and Deacon, so should be a couple of -'s there too :p

/pedant :) I think we think the same tho :)

No-one really knew it was going to be their last tour. Shame. Knebworth 86 was a cracking show though. From what I remember anyway - I was 8 when I was there. :p

Got the bootleg around somewhere.

Sure it is..... Dave :p

I'll be checking out the new queen stuff, just as I've checked out the new Guns N' Roses stuff - obviously members left in very different ways but the sound of the band still goes on :)

Is this a good time to say that I guy I shoot with used to be Brian May's roadie?

Well, anyway. A guy I shoot with used to be Brian May's roadie.

Here he is with a gun at Bisley.
