First car, 1961 Ford Prefect which I got in 1997:
http://www.jonny69.co.uk/uploads/anglia/XFF-878.jpg
Wrecked it in 2001 and replaced it with an Anglia. Smoked around in it for a few years and started some work on it. Finally getting there but it still looks like this:
http://www.jonny69.co.uk/uploads/anglia/2005-06-06/anglia1.JPG
Got this in Sept 2006 for a bit of fun:
http://www.jonny69.co.uk/uploads/pop/150UXY.jpg
Update March 2009:
The Anglia is back on the road.

Meh I'd need a scanner or some stock photos :)
Mine could get quite extensive. Be back in a bit. I've got some searching to do...
Revised down below in post #56.

I guess I should point out that like Grandad here, only the last 6 pics are mine, the rest shamelessly stolen from other people.
I'm going to have to steal some pics from somewhere for my first few cars - I'll do this when I get home. :D

Haven't worked on it for 18months and wont touch it for another 12-18months. Hopefully houses prices will not raise and I can either find or save the money up for a deposit. Once I own a house with a garage it will be totally stripped down.

Well first of all I started with a 91 Polo CL. Even when I got rid the shell was mint and was crying out for a 1.4 Supercharged conversion. Alas it was fine around town, going down the motorway was a mission. Even with a little 1L it bloody flew! One of the first fuel injected ones and it weighed about the same as a fag packet. A friend had an old 89 Polo and mine would spank it silly
http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/8771/dscf0002iqq.jpg
Sold it to a girl who then wrapped it around something :'( Spotless inside as well.
Next the Focus. Quick enough to annoy rep mobiles if you rag it senseless. It's out of puff by 6k and you get there far too quickly. It's best feature is its ability to go around roundabouts at just silly speeds. I routinely show some dipstick who is 2" off my bumper how to do a roundabout at speed. They normally end up understeering off.
http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/3931/focus2.jpg
The other year I got the MR2, which is a cracking motor. It's my weekend motor and sprint car.
http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/355/dscf0001i.jpg
After I had an argument with it, it now has a white bumper. After the first sprint event I will put a new blue one on there and tidy it up a bit more.

We all know this is an artists representation of my car though, since mine looks **** :D I love it none the less, and even though recently it cost me a little bit of welding (which subsequently i don't think it would have "needed" if i went to a "real" garage). It still continually costs me **** all to keep on the road and really is pretty bullet proof! Bland as nothing but get's me A to B and has never let me down.

OK here's my shameful collection:
Renault 9 (mine was white).
http://bigstan.net/Images/Renault9.jpg
My next car was some sort of Volvo Coupé. Can't remember the model but it looked a bit lik Chuckles' one above - except metallic blue.
1984 Nissan Micra.

I like it so much, I bought another one - this on was a 1985.
http://bigstan.net/Images/Micra.jpg
Kia Pride (mine was a van but I couldn't find a photo).
http://bigstan.net/Images/Kia%20Pride.jpg
My first and only company vehicle - a Ford Courier van.

Damn good fun this car was! Used to out-roundabout my mate's nova gte with leda suspension ;D Dog slow tho, even with an MG metro engine. Rusted away so I broke it for spares.
http://www.saabcentral.com/phpgallery/albums/Allsorts/Me_by_car_outside_119_Worthing_St.sized.jpg
And got this one. In the end it had equipe alloys, twin headlights, and almost as much rust as the brown one. Flogged the wheels for £50 on the insistence that the car went with it! Was another fun car, but just needed too much work :(
http://www.saabcentral.com/phpgallery/albums/Allsorts/pic_30140.sized.jpg
Stock photo. Mine was mettalic brown :lipsrsealed: with flaking laquer. Godawful thing that handled like a dyson. Tried my best but just could not kill it. Legendary VW reliability at its worst ;D Flogged it to a mate as a hack to get to the station. He tried selling it back to me a year or so later. I laughed :)
http://www.saabcentral.com/phpgallery/albums/album44/DSCF0378.sized.jpg
"Champagne" (mettalic begie...) 5 door metro. Reliable runaround that my nan bought new. Didn't really want it, but what the heck :) Flogged it for half what a load of welding cost.
http://www.saabcentral.com/phpgallery/albums/album25/nutcase.sized.jpg
Bluey aka the Beigemobile. Fun car! Still got it, needs tidying up and reassembly after some welding a good 5 months ago. Quick me. Need to sell it.
http://www.saabcentral.com/phpgallery/albums/album116/DSCF1254.sized.jpg
Lulu. Bought it off my best friend's sister to replace the metro. Fades to pink regularly. But reliable, and low mileage (34k). 1.2 so dirt cheap to run. Not a car for being quick or handling, but suffices.

My baby :) Hopefully soon to go for some much needed restoration!

Love this, always had a soft spot for FTOs, after seeing one somewhere with a damn near nekkid stunner sat on the roof/bonnet. Shame they are all imports and i cannot insure any import cars yet. :( Wiki suggests im wrong and the FTO was sold in the UK.

I think that's about all of 'em!
W Reg white Mini City, bit like this one, went halves with mum and dad for it, when I was 16. She had tiger skin seat covers which I kept in and called her Tiger Mini!
http://www.kaiowas.co.uk/vix/Mini1.jpg
Gold Mini Mayfair, bit like this with standard wheels. Mine was an auto, and a pain in the rear. I called her Sepia.
http://www.kaiowas.co.uk/vix/mini2.jpg
White Mini Advantage, much like this one. Probably my favourite Mini out of the lot. I called her Snowy!
http://www.kaiowas.co.uk/vix/mini3.jpg
Black Designer and Mini 30, pictured on my little drive with me and my dog. The 30 was mine, called Ebony, (the one I am leaning on) and the Designer was my partner's, she was already named Morticia when we bought her.
http://www.kaiowas.co.uk/vix/bunny&tish.JPG
Suki, standard Mini Sprite 1275, well she was standard when I got her, then I kind of went crazy on the pink and chrome :)
http://www.kaiowas.co.uk/vix/suki02.jpg
Holly - Smart Pulse Cabrio, decided a modern car was a good idea. Later realised it wasn't.
http://www.kaiowas.co.uk/vix/Holly.jpg
Sakura, Mk1 MR2: Phil swapped his Cinqecento for this, with the intention of selling her on. Well, he did, but only to me!

http://www.adtrader.co.uk/image_show2.php?image_id=9507033
http://colchestersmallcars.co.uk/images/S6300769.JPG
I did drive my parents cars for a while though but as I didn't own them I haven't added them :)
1989 Peugeot 309 GRD Special Equipment in Ming blue. We called it The Shagwagon. It was my Mum's, but she never really drove it again after I'd passed my test
http://www.lostkat.co.uk/shagwagon01.jpg
1987 Peugeot 309 GL in BEIGE. Bought for £100 with a broken starter motor. Brakes used to boil if you did over 20 miles at a time because the calipers were binding.
http://www.lostkat.co.uk/beast2.jpg
Mum & Dad scrapped it after this (http://www.lostkat.co.uk/beast4.jpg) happened over the winter whilst I was at Uni :(
1997 Ford Mondeo Ghia X in Panther Black. My first actual pride and joy
http://www.lostkat.co.uk/deo10.jpg
1999 Nissan 200SX S14a Touring. FAVOURITE.CAR.EVER! Sorely missed :(
http://www.lostkat.co.uk/IMG_2195-01.jpg
1987 VW Golf GTi 8v. Current pride and joy. Fantastic little car :D
http://www.lostkat.co.uk/Golf059.jpg
Mine is quite a short list as I never really chopped and changed cars much.
All of my pics are hotlinked, so if one of them turns in to a cock or goatse, let me know ;D
First off, my 309 GLX. Bought this from a small garage up the road and it never really let me down.
http://fotos.marktplaats.com/kopen/8/45/K6jPh765PAV0tiRhMZTgxg==.jpg
I sold it to my sister in law a few years later to be replaced by...
...an Orion Ghia, G950 XNO. Was a much nicer car with a lot more gizmo's like a trip computer and electric windows, etc. Really felt like a step up at the time. Bought it off a mate and mine was in Mercury Grey.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/pacmanz/my%20drives/1989FordOrion1.6iGhialike.jpg
Then I swapped in to the smaller but newer 106 XSi. I loved this little motor. It was small, nippy and I loved the colour.
http://www.darrenwilson.co.uk/mediac/400_0/media/DIR_109/Darren~Wilson~106~Race~Car~002.jpg
I sold the 106 and got myself one of these instead...
http://www.urbanbiker.co.uk/galleries/images/taran/GSXR600.jpg
I didn't really need a car at the time as we were working from home and I still had access to borrowing my mum's if I needed it. After a few crashes, I managed to work my way through 3 of these :D
Due to a change in circumstances, I was then lucky enough to go and buy one of these brand new...
http://www.allsportauto.com/photoautre4/peugeot/206/gt/2000_peugeot_206_gt_10_m.jpg
I've still got it now and whilst I don't regret buying a brand new car, I'd not do it again. I've got it out of my system now and would much rather grab myself a better deal.
And just after that, I went out and bought this new too. It cost me almost as much as the car :embarrased:
http://home.btclick.com/leslie.field/images/Redbull_main.jpg
I've still got this and converted it to a track bike. I've still got all the RedBull bodywork and may well be sticking it back on the road when funds allow :)

My dad has had 4 cars in the 45 years he's been driving. An Austin A30 (bought ?), a black Morris Minor traveller (bought ?), a bermuda blue MM Traveller (bought 1972) and a navy blue MM convertible (bought 1981). He's still got the last 2

To update my list in this thread...

Notice the rear tyre off the ground? :p
I can't really include Tina's car as it's 100% hers. It's the same as my Blue Neon above but in white with the same wheels she had on her red one.
I somehow doubt I'll be changing vehicles again any time soon. I may add one to convert to electric drive, but I think I'll probably own the Jeep until it rusts to nothing or I kill myself in it in Moab taking it places you shouldn't walk let alone drive.

You'll be able to tell why I don't spend much time in motors from these:
http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/6348/orangebeetle.jpg
My first car was a VW Beetle in Clementine. A fine example of how not to build a car. Engine in the wrong end, turned like a canal boat and got jammed in 4th (the highest gear) at the most inorportune moments. Paid £850 for it. Spent about £1000 on it to get it through two years of MOT's and then sold it for £700. The guy I sold it too burnt the brakes out on the M5 taking it home and had to get it recovered.
Next up is this bodge job:
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/4294/seatcordobasml.jpg
I frequently got asked what the hell it was and if you recognised it as a Seat Cordoba - well done. :)
I got this back before Seat's were cool. It's one of the earliest models that VW put out. They did a pretty good job on the earliest Ibiza's and just stuck a cavernous saloon boot on the back and called it the Cordoba. It's exactly the same car up to the 2nd door pillar, but the extra weight in the back meant it had a tendancy to step out at the back on it's rather squishy suspension if you took a bend too fast. I was ready for it but my passengers rarely were. :D
Probably the uncoolest student car ever but I was able to move all my stuff around easily and I put over 90,000 miles on it in the 8 years I had it.
The fuel guage never worked in it and the passenger door handle was missing after it froze up solid and I pulled it right off trying to get the door open. I thought it was better than ripping the drivers side handle off. :weights:
I now have one of these:
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6962/vauxhallastra.jpg
It's another German one, dull but reliable. I've done 50K in it in the last 2 and a half years and it really is a wholly unremarkable car.
Fingers crossed my next will be one of these:

Seeing how long I've been driving and the amount of motors I've had frequent access to I haven't actually had that many in my own name, these being:-
1993 (89 reg) Ford Escort 1.3L Mk4 - Pride and joy first car and quite a tidy car at the time.
NB. Not my pic, mine was white (will replace with better pic)
http://www.bakersplace.co.uk/Misc/CarHistFordEscort.jpg
1999 (99 reg) Ford Puma 1.7 - Didn't have my own car for a good few years and this I bought new, cracking car for the bracket it was in.
NB. Not mine, but identical
http://www.bakersplace.co.uk/Misc/CarHistFordPuma.jpg
2000 (99 reg) Suzuki GSXR 600 SRAD - First bike and a complete rocket machine.
http://www.bakersplace.co.uk/Misc/CarHistGSXR600.jpg
2001 (01 reg) Ford Puma 1.7 Black Edition - Easy upgrade/swap whilst concentrating on buying a house.
http://www.bakersplace.co.uk/Misc/CarHistPumaBlack.jpg
2002 (02 reg) Suzuki GSXR 600 K2 - Second bike and still own, used solely for commuting now, outclassed the SRAD by miles but probably nothing like the latest bikes.
http://www.bakersplace.co.uk/Misc/MoCleanedAfter01.jpg
2004 (00 reg) Alfa 156 2.0 TS Selespeed - Something more practical with a new baby but still fun to drive.
http://www.bakersplace.co.uk/Misc/CarHistAlfa156.jpg
2005 (01 reg) BMW 330ci Sport - Great car which just seemed to do everything well.
http://www.bakersplace.co.uk/Misc/CarHistBMW.jpg
2008 (06 reg) Ford Mustang GT - Fun factor 9 and without doubt most enjoyable car to date.

As pretty much everyone knows, this was my first car,
2004 - 1998(R) Rover 214 SI Not my pic.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fd/1998.rover.200.arp.jpg/800px-1998.rover.200.arp.jpg
Not the best car in the world, but for a first car, it didn't half have a bit of kick to it coming from a diesel corsa. Sadly, over the last few month, it's started developing a lot of faults, and got to the stage where it wouldn't start. Last seen on the back of a truck going to a scrappys :(
2009 - 2003(53) Ford Mondeo 2.0TDCI Not my pic
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0c/Ford.mondeo.mk3-black.front-by.ranger.jpg
In silver.
Got the car in March, and it's such a league ahead of the Rover. I still can't help planting my foot the the bit of turbo power it get on acceleration.
I'm also insured on the rest of my familys cars, which at the moment are a Honda CRV, a Ford Fusion, and a Peugot 206. The Fusion will soon go for a new KA (boo:(), and the CRV is a replacement for an RX8 (double boo :()
Ok, to avoid confusion I'm going to add in descriptions here as I know most of you have never seen nor heard of most of what's listed here.
Ok, here goes. Y'all ready??
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/1-peugeot_204.jpg
1982-1984 - 1965 Peugeot 204C. Got it as a complete basket case when I was 14. Did a full ground up restoration on it, to the point I got authorization from Washington State motor vehicles to reset the odometer back to zero and re-register it as a new car. Gutless wonder that couldn't fight its way out of a wet paper sack, but had some interesting features. The doors were counterbalanced, for one. Another was that the hard top went in the boot. Sold it to a collector who promptly loaded it on a flatbed truck, got 20 miles from my house and got T-boned by a semi truck totalling the car completely out. Never actually got to drive it legally myself.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/2-volkswagen_beetle.jpg
1983 - 1985 - 1956 Stuttgart VW Beetle. Another complete restoration that I did. Was a one of a kind as far as I know as it had the Stuttgart castle in the center of the hubcaps instead of the trademark VW. Also all the handles inside were ivory. Another one I never got to drive legally myself. But I had that little engine ticking like a Swiss watch idling stable all the way down to 300 RPM.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/3-hillman_husky.jpg
1983 - 1985 - 1965 Hillman Husky. Got this one with a fully rebuilt Vauxhall engine already in it and the back half full of new parts. This one was also a basket case that the only way it was getting home was to be dragged on a trailer. As far as I know it's still in someone's private collection as it was a completely unique version. 12V neg earth 4 speed left hand drive. From what I found out the only 12V versions were taxis, and the only left hand drive were all 3 speed.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/4-olds_cutlass.jpg
1986-1987 - 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass. The first car I was actually licensed to drive. Thrashed the **** out of it and sold it to a friend for parts a year later.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/5-merc_marquis.jpg
1989 - 1977 Mercury Marquis. 400cid small block Ford V-8 that produced insane amounts of torque and horsepower. It needed to. That car was HUGE!! Stock tyres were P255/75R15's!! This was the car my first wife slammed into a light pole at what we can best guess was around 60mph (she said it couldn't have been more than 15mph).
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/6-datsun_810.jpg
1989 - 1977 Datsun 810. This car is a Nissan 280Z with 4 doors and a boot. Same engine, same transmission. As I knew quite a bit about the Z cars, I did a little work under the bonnet. Found out my first wife was taking it out to Spring Street racing for pink slips. How did I find out? She beat one of my coworkers who was driving a 5.0L Mustang GT. Car got hit a few months later by a bank robber in a stolen car. All I had was comprehensive insurance, so the car was totalled on my dime.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/7-79_luv.jpg
1989 - 2001 - 1979 Chevrolet Luv 4X4 pickup. Let's just say I should have my head examined for owning this complete piece of dog crap for 10 years.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/8-77_luv.jpg
1990 - 1979 Chevrolet Luv pickup. Parts truck for the first one.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/9-74_luv.jpg
1992 - 1974 Chevrolet Luv pickup. Bought this one with a blown motor and grenaded transmission for the body after my original one above got totalled out by a guy cutting me off.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/10-jeep_cj5.jpg
1990 - 1992 - 1974 Jeep CJ-5. My biggest regret to this day is ever selling this. I loved this Jeep. Still do. It was loud, obnoxious, uncomfortable, almost impossible to drive above 35 mph, felt like it would flip over on the roof if you sneezed at it wrong, but holy crap was it fun!!
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/11-280z.jpg
1992 - 1980 Datsun 280 Z. This was supposed to be a full restoration, but my ship transferred home ports before I could do much. Sold it to a collector for $100.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/12-saab_900.jpg
1992 - 1980 Saab 900. Interesting car. Ignition switch in a strange place, the bonnet opens the wrong way, engine's facing entirely the wrong way. But get that thing above 50mph and you'd swear someone had put a JADO assist rocket on the arse end and lit it off. You'd also swear there was a functional wing from a top fuel drag racer on the roof because that thing hunkered down and shot out from under you like it just wanted to eat every bit of road in front of it as fast as you could stand!! Gave it to my sister-in-law when we left Long Beach.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/13-chrysler_wagon.jpg
1993-1996 - 1986 Chrysler LeBaron Estate. This was supposed to be a replacement for the Saab. Let's just say it was a complete and utter failure in all aspects. Horrible, horrible car.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/14-ford_escort.jpg
1996 - 1981 Ford Escort. I still to this day refuse to even get in a Ford Escort. I don't care if they've been completely redesigned from the ground up and there's nothing in common with the total and utter piece of life threatening garbage I had. I owned it for a month because I had no choice. I took a bible, a St. Anthony's cross and a crucifix with me every time I got in it. I knew for a complete fact that the only way I was going to make it out of the parking lot alive was with 100% of the Lord's assistance. You ever want rid of someone, don't call the mafia hit men. Just give them the keys to one of these.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/15-plymouth_volare.jpg
1998 - 1999 - 1979 Plymouth Volare' Estate. A completely bland and tasteless car. It was a car in the most basic of sense. Nothing more, nothing less. Room mate lost control of it a hung it up on a telegraph pole guywire ripping the entire right rear quarter panel clean off the car and bending the rear axle.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/16-chev_celebrity.jpg
1999 - 2000 - 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity. Another totally bland car. But couldn't complain as I got it for free. Engine finally gave up the ghost and I put it out if its misery in the Bremerton wrecking yard.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/17-mazda_rx7.jpg
2001 - 1984 Mazda RX-7. They aren't called Rotary Rockets for nothing. For only having 1200cc in an engine most people can pick up by themselves, it had unbelievable amounts of power. I had no problem breaking the rear tyres loose at 35mph with it bone stock. After quite a few mods to the turbine that was the engine, I got kicked off of Bremerton Raceway. They had a rule there that anything over 12 seconds in the 1/4 mile could run stock, but anything under 12 seconds needed to have a full roll cage, fire supression system and you had to be wearing a full racing suit including helmet. I left four black skid marks across the 1/4 mile mark with the brakes locked and pulled in a time of 11.96 seconds. I slammed on the brakes because I knew I was going to come under the 12s mark by quite a margin and I had none of the required safety equipment. Wish I'd just gone for it so I could have gotten an accurate 1/4 mile time out of it before getting ejected from the track. Blew the third engine up in it in a row within a month of each other and gave up on it.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/18-toyota_truck.jpg
2001 - 2003 - 1979 Toyota pickup. You folks know it as the Hilux. I bought it for $200 and the uy handed me the service records for it. They were in a 4 inch thick three ring binder. He was more religious about changing the oil at the 3,000 mile mark than I've ever been. And the same odometer reading on said oil change receipts came up 7 times. I got it it had 705,000 miles on it. I took it over to the Toyota dealership and asked them what was original on it. They said the only thing that wasn't was the alternator. The valve cover hadn't even been off the engine. Ever. It was all original. Beat the snot out of that thing for two years and then we moved to Oregon where they had emissions testing and it failed. Gave it to the guy who got stuck with my RX-7 as a consolation for putting up with it.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/19-dodge_caravan.jpg
2000 - 2003 - 1987 Dodge Caravan. I was NOT looking forward to the time in my life where I'd have to buy a minivan. Then I drove one. Wrote the guy a check and drove home a happy camper. No, they won't win and Grand Prix. No they won't win any style awards. But OMG was that thing comfortable!! I've driven BMWs, Mercs, Jaguars, Cadillacs, you name it. Nothing has compared to the total Lazy-Boy recliner on wheels comfort that old mini-van achieved. And the TOYS?? Damn, there were more buttons and levers and switches on that thing than there are in some airplane cockpits!! It wasn't worth taking to Minnesota, so donated it to the Salvation Army on the way out of the state.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/20-subaru_gl.jpg
2002 - 1980 Subaru GL 2WD Estate. Holy Crap what an underpowered piece of ****!! Bought it for $100, sold it for $100 a month later after just about getting run over on the Banfield freeway in Portland because I couldn't maintain 55mph up a 5% grade!!
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/21-95_neon.jpg
2002 - 2009 - 1995 Dodge Neon. I shouldn't really lay claim to this one as it was Tina's car, but since we inherited it from my father when he passed away, I figure I need to put it in here.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/22-01_neon.jpg
2002 - 2003 - 2001 Dodge Neon. I loved this little car. It was agile, it was quick, it sipped fuel (I could push it over 40mpg if I kept my foot off the firewall). It was reasonably comfy. Great all around car. Had to sell it in Minnesota when I lost my job at the airport. We needed several thousand dollars and we needed it quick. The only way was to sell my car. Paid $7K for it and a year later had to sell it for $4K. I'm still mad about that.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/23-chev_truck.jpg
2002 - 2008 - 1981 Chevrolet K15 4X4 pickup. Bought it originally as a winter crash barrier. I lived in a college town where there was snow and ice on the ground 6 months of the year. 99% of the colege students had no idea how to drive in the snow. If one of them had hit my little Neon, I would have ended up in prison because I would have beat the **** out of them for their idiotic driving. 2 months later it paid off as exactly what I was afraid of happened. But the truck came out unscathed. My Neon would have been totalled. Owned this thing for the entire time we were in Minnesota. Beat it senseless and never did a single bit of maintenance to it. 5 years and over 35,000 miles on the same oil I bought it with. 1/2 ton truck that routinely hauled 2.5 tons of firewood around in 3 feet of snow. Bulet proof reliable old truck. I'd own another in a heartbeat.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/24-toyota_tercel.jpg
2005 - 2006 - 1986 Toyota Tercel 4WD Estate. Bought it for the mileage as my new job was 45 miles from home. It was gutless, slow (had trouble getting to 80mph), noisy, uncomfortable and completely rusted out. But it never once faltered in the snow and ice. Even at 65mph on a flat sheet of 2" glare ice from an ice storm. There were TRACKED vehicles slipping and sliding and I was driving around like I was on dry blacktop. It finally rusted to the point the rear suspension was in danger of coming out on its own. Sold it to a fellow Tercel 4WD owner that needed a new transmission and a couple other small bits and bobs. He stripped it of everything that could be unbolted.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/25-silverado.jpg
2006 - 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 4X4. Initially bought it to replace the aging 1981. Big mistake. Sold it and kept the older truck.
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/boatdrinks/cars/26-blazer.jpg
2007 - 2008 - 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 4X4. Reasonably good vehicle, but had to leave it behind in Minnesota when we moved away. Wish now I'd left the Neon there and brought the Blazer instead.
I know there's several I'm forgetting about, but you get the picture (pun intended)...
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/jeep/littlemoab/PICT009.jpg
2008 - Present - I now have my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I absolutely love this thing. All the good points of my old CJ-5 and the minivan all in one vehicle.
1980 Saab 900.
This is why I love my Saab :D
I also felt the safest in the Saab. Especially after seeing one drive THROUGH a Volvo estate in Long Beach. It quite literally pushed the passenger's seat on the Volvo out the door. Luckily the Volvo was parked and empty, but still.
Oh, and how did the rescue crews get the driver of the Saab out? Walked up, opened the door and asked, "Ma'am can you undo your seatbelt please?"!!!
And all this after she'd already been T-boned by a full sized RWD American car coming through an intersection. So the car was already pretty badly damaged, then it plows through what is toted to be one of the safer and stronger cars out there, and they opened the driver's door like it was still new. The passenger compartment had ZERO intrusion!!

Subaru Forester 2.0 Tuuuuuuurboooooo!!!!
Short and easy journey, red Corsa 1.4, '93 model which I got from my grandfather with barely 30k on the clock in '04 I think it was:
http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/8871/53416.jpg (http://img253.imageshack.us/i/53416.jpg/)
Sold it when I moved to London, little or no point having a car where I was, TFL covered every need, and rental cars filled in the infrequent gaps.
Then, moved to Hawaii and drive one of these, a Honda Civic LX, '04 model:
http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/6623/1958353.jpg (http://img132.imageshack.us/i/1958353.jpg/)
Handles well, ample power under the bonnet, decent sized boot but nothing remotely interesting. It's very much a car that gets us from A-Z.
Both cars are auto, even though I learnt on and prefer manual. Automatic gearbox annoys the sweet merry hell out of me in both :)
See. I forgot to keep this thread updated. After my Grand Cherokee I ended up with one of these :
http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/tracker/poser1.jpg
Geo Tracker. Better known to the rest of the world as a Suzuki Sidekick. Gutless as hell, noisy and uncomfortable. Cheap as chips on parts and would pull a u-turn inside a parking space.
Traded that for this :

http://www.boomspeed.com/bofh1968/jeep/roofrack/backup1.jpg

Sold it recently due to financial distress.
update! I've surprised a few people with this one but I'm absolutely loving a few creature comforts.

I've started a thread about him too :)
