Its mine until August, however if I decide I want to keep it, its mine for a mere £240  The thing weighs a sodding tonne, and the lens hood is bigger than my head ;D
LOL. I don't think whoever coined the 'hoody' term had that idea in mind. ;D
Nice piece of kit. Enjoy. :)
Nice :) At that price BUY IT!
I still miss mine now :(
Fantastic fantastic lens, really for that price you should just do it, no questions asked.
/me wants one again
IIRC he said you could pay it off in installments too? If so, DO IT! I was going to get one of these last month with my bonus, but other things got in the way. Fantastic lens that you will not regret buying :)
Yep, installments too! Such a nice bloke! :)
Durz, didnt you sell yours to Pebs? If that was yours, I had a play with it last time we were down there :)
No fnar intended :p

I've got one of them on loan as well at the moment. Can't really fault the quality of it, but it just doesn't have enough reach for me on a full frame body :(
F/4 isn't great for low light either. I really want the 2.8 version, but it's a lot more expensive.
For that price though I'd bite his arm off :p

:p
I'd still go for the f/2.8 :) Theres "low light" and theres low light which I was shooting in the other day. I was limited to f/2.8 and couldn't get sharp enough shots.
damn you!!!!
a mate of mine is about to pick up one of these for like £600 (student loan day!!)
I want one!! £240 is a joke!
Eeep, sorry :D
Heres some I took yesterday with it...

Buy it!
you would be seriously mad not to!
Why do you NEED a studio kit?
can you not rent studio time from a local studio?
Id rather not FS, as I am not currently charging for my time, Id be losing money. Besides, its always here when I want to do family stuff :)

The lens is a good buy, considering it is an L lens !
damn you!!!!

What!? They can be had for £350 new, £600 would buy you the f/2.8 or f/4IS versions.

I always used to buy guitars on student loan days :p
I bought a Playstation with FF7 with some of my grant money in the first year. :p Thou that was only like 10% of the amount.
Ive hardly used my lens :( Do I need to make more of an effort? :p
Yes! Find some local events or something.
Lend it to me. I'll make good use of it :p

Kerso - find him on the TP forums.
Totally reliable, ridiculously good prices and UK invoices provided for warranty & cashback purposes.
Last time I checked he was doing the 70-200 F4L for £340 plus a tenner shipping. I got my 70-200 F4L IS from him.
I just bought new kit from kerso the last month or so and now own the 70-200mm F4 IS L, 24-70mm F2.8 L and the Canon 40D. So another recommendation for him as well plus in my case no postage with only living a bus journey from where he sends all his stuff off from :)
I had a Canon Speedlite 430EX off Kerso a couple of years ago for a fantastic price. I bank transferred him the money because I bought it through TP forums. Very trustworthy bloke :)

I've used Kerso a couple of times as well and would definately recommend him. Ask him to do a bank transfer and buy outside ebay for a discount.

Sounds like Kerso is the man !
If anyone wants to buy a lens the same as the OP I'm selling mine :)
Is it a bad time to say I am not getting much use out of mine? :p
Yeah, thats great thanks Dee!
Mush mush! 70-200 is great for events, if there are any near you. I don't use mine much but its great when I do. Scour the local papers for events and things.
I am just so swamped with work at the moment, its a wonder I have time to post about it, let alone use it :(
Sorry Pete, Ill use it soon, I promise!!!

LOL, I've been rumbled
I'd probably still hire a 300mm for India but the 200mm would be an affordable addition and I'd rather get these things second hand particularly if it helps some one out, it would give me a zoom to practice with too. Now do I need a macro lens ....................hmmmmm :D
MB
Yes you do! Canon 100mm Macro. Superb lens :D You can try mine next time I see you.
