nice :)

not had a bike for over 15 years now, often think of getting on but then realise there was a reason I stopped, mainly that I rode like and arse and was unlilekly to survive much longer if I kept it up

Will Frenchie still not let you drive his car, P? Such a meanie! Did I mention that you can have a drive of my car? :)

Good news on the bike Will, I'm really hoping I'll be able to ride again.

The swingarm has too many sides for my liking though :)

I took monsieur Jonny out on it today (As well as another friend of mine) - I didn't manage to scare him too much I don't think. I didn't really open her up too much for fear of losing Jon off the back of it! lol! :D

Hope you enjoyed it matey :)

TTs are a nice ride... but take it easy matey.

I've been eying up a yellow blade for the last 4 weeks.. The shop down the road now has 2 for around £4.5k

#tempted# but then remembers the reason I sold up.

There was a horrific video on SPS forum a couple of weeks back Paul. Horrific to the point that I can't really get it out of my mind. I've ALWAYS been pro bike, always, and loved pillion riding, but I will never ever get on one again after seeing it.

Will

I've seen some horrific things in person and on videos. The thing is if you live by every bad thing you see you'd never leave your house... I'm as careful as I can be, I can be a bit reckless at times, but you have to make choices in your life and take the chances and risks that life throw at you. I've base jumped, and rock climbed in dangerous areas, I've been to war torn countries and shot at, I've been in car crashes - you just have to take away the experiences and make the best of it. I completely understand what you're saying Paul and ditto Karyn, but I just can't dwell on these things otherwise I'd do my head in! I hope that doesn't sound too obnoxious or excessively daft...

I'm not a dweller at all Will (if I was I'd never go to work!) and I have no intention to try and persuade anyone to stop riding bikes. Plus I've seen countless videos of bike crashes etc too all without giving any of them much of a second thought. This one however....I can't tell you how much it's effected me. Through no fault of the rider one second he was alive and the next he wasn't. Totally random thing that happened but so very very easily done.

Enjoy your bikes, I know I did while I could, it's just not for me any more. I have too much at stake.

Will
03-06-2008, 10:57
Oh absolutely - I never once suggested that you were a dweller - I've seen you out on the toon too many times to believe that! ;) :p

However you do have much more at stake than me. I guess it's also a bit of a selfish thing for me - but I love it lots. Makes me feel alive - which frankly is a good thing for me.

I'm sorry you experienced something so horrific though :(
