View Full Version : Hoax calls - why?

I can 'get' teenage pranksters with nothing better to do making a few hoax calls to see what happens and have a laugh (not that it's at all funny of course), but a 57-year-old? Why?

^^ Agreed. Emergency services shouldn't be messed with, Period.
Having said that my old Nan used to do prank calls when she babysat me & my sister. Not 999 ones though she'd ring the Chinese or something & order a huge meal, Or she'd ring the zoo & ask for Mr C Lion or Miss Ellie Phant that sort of thing. Was great fun & she used to laugh more than us.
Edit.
I should add she never had a phone, like Ever. We used to ring the local phone box & ask the chavs that hung around it to go knock her door ;D
What a cock. I'm glad he's been jailed, you don't mess around with the emergency services and you shouldn't get away with repeatedly wasting their time and putting people's lives in unnecessary risk. Perhaps jail time will make him think about his actions, if not, the next time he does call 999 he could always be told nobody is available for a while as they're busy attending several prank calls. ;)
What a cock.
What he said. WTF
People don't take emergency services seriously enough...did you guys hear about the woman in the states who disappeared and pretended to be kidnapped, and got in BIG trouble when the state spend tons of money trying to "rescue" her?
It's like the boy who cried wolf. You just shouldn't do it.
