Ok Guys I admit defeat & need some help :(
No matter what i try i just cannot get into my 360 & it is really ****** me off. My mate gave me kane & Lynch yesterday to play through & i hate the control system & that 3rd person out look.
I've played COD4 but compared to the PC it's crap & the controls feel like they are in porridge. I want to turn uber quick & it turns like i am in slow motion.
I play Forza2 & like it but even that gets boring within half an hour & compared to RFactor & my MOMO it is obviously complete crap.

So...
I have Crackdown that Wossi lent me & i must say the first few plays of this i really liked. Trouble is i didn't get very far & had absolutely no clue as to what i was s'posed to do. Doesn't help that my text on screen is dodgey so it's hard to read. Not all of it just the tiny stuff at the bottom.
Everybody goes on about how good Crackdown is so i am choosing this game to get me over my crisis. I love my sexbox & Love the way the controller feels & am well happy sitting back in my armchair so all i need is a game to get in to properly.

After reading that can you help & what do you suggest & how do i get in to Crackdown.
Am i just to bloody old to change my ways & just to much into my PC gaming ?
What you reckon ?

I didn't really get into crackdown myself, just went around hunting the agility orbs :D

I'm not sure what I can suggest about the controller, personally I love console controllers and would never go back to a keyboard and mouse.

I have no prob with the controller i like it but it's the way it is used in some of the games i don't like. Like in Kane & Lynch.
I want instinctive controls like in COD4 but quicker, Does that make sense ?

The problem Malc is that with controllers you can't really decide where stuff is mapped to. In some games you can change the layout which might help. The other thing is that not all games bind stuff to the same keys. Most thankfully are going with the LT - aim RT - fire but other than that it's up to the developer.

Well if you don't like the controls have a squiz in the options menu of the game and you might find one which works for you :)

For FPS games the keyboard and mouse wins hands down (for me). It isn't something you can "change" - hopefully you'll find the game for you malc :)

If I could I'd use a keyboard and mouse for CoD4 on the Xbox. I'm better with the controls now but still not as good as when I play FPS's on the PC.
