I used to love Caramacs, then I went to Makro and bought 48 of them. A couple of weeks later I only really liked them.

Likewise.

When I were a lad, we got 15p a week pocket money which got us into the pictures on a Saturday afternoon with a caramac or a bar of highland toffee and a zoom ice lolly at half time :D

This was obviously a very very long time ago :o

my 50p pocket money used to buy me a sherbet fountain and a double dip / dip dab. I would then either save the rest, or get come penny sweets / can of fizzy drink, then come home and mix all edibles into a bowl - creating a mixture of pink, orange and white powder, a stick of liquorice and a swizzle stick... ahh memories.

I still remember going into the local Woolies and asking for a 'box of these' (these being Kitkat Caramac). Not all for me I may add, though I did end up with more than I planned. :D

They're not chewy but there is enough just to make your teeth slightly "gummy"

And I can nung nung nung most things - I am a professional nunger ;D

I used to LOVE highland toffee - Ma and Pa always had a stash of them for when our teeth were wibberly - would pull them out a treat :D

Technically Caramac's aren't chocolate bars, at least they weren't last time I looked. I used to eat them in place of chocolate when I thought that it was chocolate causing migraines. The caramac kitkat annoyed me because it had chocolate. I thought it was a stupid thing to do. Put chocolate in a non chocolate sweet, the only one left I could eat. Stupid!

As nice as they are I never really got into caramacs. They always seemed such poor value as there's nothing to them for what you pay so I always spent my pocket money on something more substantial.

DO WANT CARAMAC

Chuckles
20-04-2008, 21:15
I've never had one of those before. They aren't like toffee are they? Toffee is far to chewy and gay.

Crunchies FTW :D

iCraig
20-04-2008, 21:16
Nope, not like toffee.

They're made of caramac.

B'ah, it's made by Nestle :(

SidewinderINC
20-04-2008, 22:15
Boycotting nestle? (for the same reason as most? or some other reason?)

Chuckles
20-04-2008, 22:44
Normal reason.

I'm not completely religious about it and I don't check every single product I buy, but if I know something is by them, I won't buy it.
