Please someone help me retain my faith in humanity!
My little sister has just come through to me and asked if i knew that male seahorses carry the babies. Duh!
Then she asked my mum and she said she hadn't known that either!?!
Is it just that i am David Attenborough's love-child and this isn't common knowledge or are my family just ignorant of the poor little seahorses?

Oh good *takes a deep breath* its all ok now. I'm just going to have to sit them in front of blue planet and not let them move until they know the intimate details of seahorses.

I'm looking at my first post and thinking i might still be a bit drunk, i don't normally use that much punctuation :D

Some of the people I work with do this to me all the time.... stun me with not knowing something that I thought was in everyones general knowledge. Yup I knew :)

I may have known, but forgot. Don't think its something I need to know to get through the day.

I am with Pete on this one.

They aint exactly a common day creature and household pet ;) and they are also not really that interesting, apart from that one evolutionary fact.

Lots of people have noticed, just not some of the cunningham clan :p

Probably true Leo, also true that it isn't the most important of life-affirming fact. But it mattered to me at the time of making this thread, for reasons unknown. :p

It was more like WHAT! How do you not know this? Everyone knows that, really honestly they do, are you sure you didn't know? Could you have just forgotten? Please :(
I have morning (afternoon) after drinking thought patterns today and they amuse me.

I knew but had forgotten!

Not something I really think of daily :)

Don't worry, I don't know lots of silly things like that. Pickers enlightens me daily, making me feel slightly numptiesque. :)

It's not something I could have pulled out of my brain if somebody wanted a strange fact about seahorses, but I did know it.

I didn't know this.

Did you know that an alternator puts out 14.4 volts when the car battery is only 12V? The bore on an 1172cc sidevalve is 2.5" which is 63.5mm exactly. Pencil lead is actually graphite. They do make Derwent pencils in Derwent.

Literacy hour in primary schools should be replaced with Attenborough Hour.
