View Full Version : Radio 1 Big Weekend
Ok, I didnt get tickets, but wondered if anyone here did?
And Ive just checked eBay, they are already on there for Buy It Now price of £550.00 ;D I HOPE noone is that desperate to see a crap line up. Thats purely my opinion, I dont care what anyone else thinks ;)
If it's a crap line up why did you want a ticket anyway? :p
I was going to agree with you, but then I checked the link and it was last year's. :p
I wouldn't pay £550.00 for a ticket mind...although some Madonna fans might do.
Some good bands on there imo... but I'm in Disneyland Paris that weekend :D

I haven't heard to say we have got tickets but then I haven't heard to say we haven't (did you get notifcation that you hadn't?).
We live close so we should have a chance of getting them, I'd only be going for Newton Falkner to be honest the rest of the lineup is a bit sucky but we applied because its on our doorstep

I am still waiting to hear...
Just had an email saying I didnt get any either. Couple of acts I'd have seen, certainly for free anyway :)
Would have liked to have gone just for Goldfrapp as I'd love to see them again but am working anyway so didn't apply.

To sell for £120 like I did last year ;D
Come on, its a free day out. I would just never pay £550 to go
Oh it's free?
Can't say fairer than that, I thought it was just another regular festival.
I haven't heard yet, which I take to mean no.
You reckon? I bet if you've not heard, you're in ;)

Well there is uproar in the local area about the whole thing, it would appear that there was a cock up with the ticket allocation and many which were supposed to be allocated to local residents, who after all will be footing the bill for the clear up and policing went instead to postcodes outside of the area. Almost no one we know has a ticket who lives in the two which seems both odd and is also very annoying. On the whole I'm not too fussed there were only about 3 bands I wanted to see but it annoys me that they've cocked up something which could have been very good for my home town :(

Crap :( You would have thought that after all these phone vote rigging fiascos, they'd be REALLY careful not to cock stuff like this up!
