Probably could go in the bastard parking (although my parking is superb ;)) the bastard parking attendants keep ticketing me. I'm just **** at using parking meters and i'm paying through the ass atm....

I managed two tickets in one parking session (two different offences, not paying and displaying, then paying and over staying lol). and the other 4 other times, so currently i've paid probably about half the price of my car in parking tickets.

Today if i had a gun and had the opportunity to shoot the attendant, i'm scared i probably would have ;D I would generally say i am i very patient guy, but parlking tickets REALLY seem to wind me up the right way, and you don’t want to talk to me when i've just been given one :p.

Anyone else as useless as me?

St Johns Hill car park, cheaper than meters and no fines.

But you're right £2 an hour on the meter on princes street is pretty robbing although for me, if i parked in st Johns i might as well have walked to begin with! :D

Alex !!! that's about £120 in parking fines !

Can you not get parking permit for residential areas ?

It's more than that mondo, its technically £360 but if paid within a certain time limit its half price (how f***ing nice of them) so i've paid £180. And yes, i can buy a permit for £80, but the plan was not to buy a permit and not get fined, now if i buy a permit, and pay the fines, well thats twice as bad. I just need to avoid getting fined for another week (harder than it sounds it seems :D).

Before anyone point the blindingly obvious out, yes i'm paying for a permit next year ;)

Its a lot fo stuff, hence my general anger. I can't see how £60/£30 is in anyway fair for 5 minutes... Money grabbing bastards thats all they are.

I hate the blue meanies, even though they don't really wear blue any more.

We're getting a traffic warden round here soon according to the local paper, we haven't had one for years and there are no real problems so it seems just a money making exercise

We have loads of those new ones with there Flash Red uniforms on, Me thinks they are Aliens but still I wouldn't mind the job myself.
I Never park anywhere i shouldn't thus avoiding any penaltys, I honestly just could not afford to get a fine as you are talking more than I have to live on for a whole kin week if they hit me with a 65 quidder :(

I know loads of people hate me as I don't have the greatest amount of sympathy when people get fines. I worked with parking enforcement and bailiffs for a long time and I've probably heard every scenario possible.

Anyway, damned unlucky and make sure you do get that permit next year ;) Oh and incidentally I've had a parking fine myself so it's not like I think I'm perfect. When I went to pay my ticket the woman stamped my receipt and looked at me like I had committed an unspeakable crime, bless her :D

I don't mind the fines as such, it just seems the penalty is a little unfairly priced, £30 for 5 minutes or £30 for like a day? How does that work? I could have just dumped my car and left it there... I put it on par with bank charges, yes they're necessary, but they're not well (if at all) thought out...
