Please if you get a spare moment between 3 and 5pm on Saturday, will you think happy thoughts for Bristol City in their play off final.

I am a massive City fan, havent missed a home game for 4 years now, and made it to over half of their away games this season.

I shall probably spend most of Saturday as I have this week, switching between feeling sick with nerves and bouncing about like a loon with excitement.

I am obviously going to Wembley, I now need a mortgage to pay for everything (all donations to the "Knip is broke" fund gratefully accepted :D ) but who cares!

I will be massively proud of my boys whatever happens on Saturday afternoon. We've had an amazing season, people kept writing us off, saying we would never do it, and now look at us, in the play off final for the Premier League.

Gary Johnson has worked wonders for this club, and long may it continue, I will stop rambling now, but just wanted to say
COME ON YOU REDS!!!

One for the Bristol City
Two for the boys in Red
Three for the fans down Ashton Gate,
We'll follow til we're dead me boys, follow til we're dead!

As you'd be replacing my local team (Reading) in the tip flight, I might have mixed feelings.

Not that I'm spectacularly keen or anything - I just look at the results occasionally. :)

I just needed a WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
before I try and get some sleep. Kitten will do my very best in all the chaos to either ring or txt you. Apologies if neither of us can hear a word the other is saying.
COME ON YOU REDS!!!

Since my team did such a fine job in winning the SPL last night, I'm in a particularly charitable mood so it would be my pleasure to become a temporary Bristol City supporter for the day (I will also be a temporary Queen Of The South supporter as well but I'm big enough for both jobs ;)).

I lived in Bristol for a few years so got a soft spot for them. Although I was always more a Rovers fan :p

Cmon you tractor boys though :D :p

Aw poo :(

I'm sorry you didn't make it to the premiership. I tried, honest I did.

:(

I suppose there's one thing that can be taken from this though - all the teams that did better than you have gone up. Reading also failed at the final hurdle three years ago. Two years ago they blasted everyone out of sight and set a championship record. Shame that didn't last, but maybe BC can finish the job.

Gutted but so very proud of my boys.
Am just hoping Bradley Orr is ok, he has undergone surgery this evening for a depressed skull fracture and a cheekbone fracture. Havent seen the pictures yet but I am told it looked nasty. Hes such a major influence on the team im sure it affected our performance today.
Thanks for all the good wishes, looking forward to next season already.

See you in The Championship (Birmingham fan). It's where all the proper football gets played :D

Was chatting about this with a friend last night.

From watching the game on Saturday neither team were good enough for the prem and it just saved us the embarassment of watching the Robins get spanked at the end of MoTD every Saturday evening. You can giggle as Hull are bottom at christmas with 5 points, a knackered squad and on the verge of sacking the manager.
Another season in the Championship and some clever recruitment will pay greater dividends in the long term I think.

I'm a city fan by default since the Pirates lived up to their name and stole the Mem from the Rugby Club. Now that they've decided to demolish it and replace it with the Dunford Vanity Project Stadium my loathing for the Gas knows no bounds.
