View Full Version : Meat
I cleaned up on the reduced items section today. Picked out 4 packs of 2 free range chicken leg quarters for about 80p each, some hunks of black pud for 10p each and two packs of organic diced stewing beef for about £2 each. Added to the bacon and sausages I actually went in to get, my freezer is now packed out with MEAT.
Anyway, er, as you were.
About half my freezer space is filled up with meat from one of the local butchers. There is no black pudding there though, I must rectify that when I get back from holiday.

The other week before we all left at the end of our term, we all decided we were definitely going to have a BBQ because it was so sunny. But me and a mate seriously made the BBQ happen. Drunk on the way home from a party the night before we're all meant to go BBQing the (same) next day, I stumbled into co-op looking for something cheap we can cook when we get in (cheaper than the chippy!) as its 24 hour. But i struck GOLD in the clearance section. 10+ packs of 4 burgers (half decent co-op ones too, not total crap) for 10p a packet! :D:D sausages and chicken drummers all 10p too. I just took the clearance basket over to the checkout like a proper drunkard.
Woke up the next day thinking, no way did i really do that last night, and opened up our second (usually beer) fridge. And it was literally bursting with meat, and i found a receipt for £2/3. It was mental the amount of meat we had. Suffice to say i've never been so full after a BBQ ever, and it was all stoke of luck, but i know from now on i'm shopping on the way home at 4am ;D;D;D
