I am starting this thread in order to elicit comments of sympathy and pity. I make no apology for this blatant attention whoring :p
To cut a long story short; I had some bad fish at lunchtime yesterday and I now have very bad food poisoning. I was up half the nigh pooping and when I wasn't pooping, I couldn't get to sleep for the stomach cramps. The result of all this is that I had about 3 hours sleep last night and up until a couple of hours ago, I was s**tting all my life force down the pan.
I got some tablets from the rig doctor which have helped a lot. I have stopped defacating for now and the painkillers he gave me for the stomach cramps seem to be pretty good. He also gave me some tablets which are like a sort of antiseptic for the stomach which should, he says, kill all the nasty bugs.
I have no energy at all (it's a good job we're not busy today) and to cap it all the AC in the mud lab I share with the mud engineer is on the blink so it's actually hotter in here than it is outside. I keep nodding off and need to keep typing to stay awake.
To the poop deck!
Nothing worse than stomach bugs, they just floor you. Hope it clears up soon!
Awwwwwww. Poor Stan.

*cuddles to bosom*
Now that's the sort of thing I'm looking for :D
Ick, I've had the same thing before so know how horrid it is. Hopefully your ring piece isn't like the Japanese flag!

I've had the same as well recently. I got the cramps but it had the opposite effect down below on me. I spent three days curled up in bed but couldn't shift it so I ended up having to get some laxatives, at which point it was most definitely red alert, clear the decks, but such relief. ;D
Hope you get better soon.

Aww Stan, get well soon. Sounds horrid.
Awwwwwwwww Stan stan! You be careful with excessive pooping due to dodgy fish! That's how I ended up with.... well... a REALLY poorly bottom meaning I couldn't walk/sit anywhere without looking like I had a pineapple up my arse for AGggGGges!!
*big gentle hugs and love* *pats stans tummy and bottom better*
You poor thing! You are fully entitled to a little sympathy seeking IMO. I hope you get better very soon. Being sick is no fun at all.
*Snuggles*
Careful, you'll fall asleep in there and he'll catch you off guard with what sounds like a duck but will in fact be a dose of toxic gas.
Awwww, hope you get better soon !
My experience with food poisoning is about the same, about 2/3 days of constantly on the bog with intense stomach cramps every 30 mins. It feels like i was going into labour, just drink lots of water to replace those are "came out" and really hipe you get better soon !
Could this thread be linked to Huddy's anal fish pr0n?

It did start last night when I was asleep - Huddy, what have you been doing to me?
Thanks for the sympathy folks. Cramps are a little better now but I still feel like crap :(
Only managed half a bowl of soup for lunch and a small slice of sponge cake this afternoon so far today. Hopefully will be able to eat a little more this evening. Mega early night tonight - try to get some of my energy back. We should be a bit busier tomorrow.
I've been drinking sugary drinks all day to try to boost the energy levels a bit.
I am the worlds worst whinger when I'm ill :o
Men are the worlds worst whingers when ill :o
Edited for the truth ;)
I am the worlds worst whinger when I'm ill :o
Ach, stop malingering you big jessie.;D
*snuggles*
Gutted for you dude. Even worse that you're ill and not at home, I hate that :(
Did anybody else have the fish?

"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."
There are a couple of other guys I spoke to who had fish and have been feeling a bit meh but not as bad as I was. I think there may have been a rogue bad fish rather than a whole batch.
It was probably that Jack Daniel's you had... :p
