OK folks, I have scoured the web with limited success so I hope someone can help me out here...

I need some speakers for my iPod. They must be:

1. Battery powered (I'll be using them on a campsite - no mains power)
2. Easily portable
3. Compatible in some way with the iPod Touch (either a dock or just a stereo jack to stereo jack cable)
4. Capable of decent sound reproduction

Basically, I'm going camping with a few mates this summer and I am looking for a means of playing various iPods through some portable speakers. I figured there'd be lots of dock type units out there, but most are not Touch compatible and they are quite pricey. I'm not so bothered about Dock functionality, I just want some decent speakers so the sound quality/bass is good, and of course I need to be able to run 'em off batteries..

TIA :)

I'll check out the ones I got for Christmas as they are great. Here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/PowerTraveller-K2000-Portable-MP3-Speakers/dp/B000EHQHUG) they are.

They got a good review on El Reg this week. The picture on the first page makes them look huge but follow through to page 3 and you'll see that they're not.

Tempting.

Only problem is finding somewhere that (a) stocks them, and (b) has them in stock. :(

If anyone discovers such a place, please let me know. :)
