On wednesday I am 'teaching' a lesson to year 9's (actually they are customising some bottles to launch as water rockets) and I need some background music to suit the mood..
So far I have got a few, but not nearly enough to fill an hours lesson or two!.

Elton John - Rocket Man
Train - Drops of Jupiter
REM - Man on the Moon
David Bowie - Space Oddity
Jamiroquai - Cosmic Girl
Queen - Don't Stop Me
Zoo - Spaceman
Ash - Girl From Mars
Foos - learn to fly
Kanye West - Touch the sky (clean version)
Lighthouse Family - High
superman lovers - Starlight
Abba - afternoon delight (what a gem!)
Rocky - gonna fly now

The Police - Walkng on the moon

Probably. It would have to involve innuendo though and therefore be unsuitable for the purposes intended. :D

Call yourselves geeks, for shame people, for shame.

The Firm - Star Trekkin' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCARADb9asE)

And if you are little bit more relaxed about the songs themes but the bands are still related to space and or space travel.
Space - Female Of The Species (Or Neighbourhood if you prefer)
Love and Rockets - So Alive
Starland Vocal Band - Afternoon Delight

Peter Schilling - Major Tom (http://speakyourmindbrownsville.com/downloads/Peter%20Schilling%20-%20Major%20Tom.mp3)

Since when did schoolkids get to listen to music in class anyway? Playing with water rockets is enough of a doss for 14 year olds as it is without getting music as well.

World's gone soft I tell thee.
