Anyone else watch this? I've got to say i'm stuggling to watch, i'm on the 3rd episode and its painful to watch at times. For some reason i can totally relate to his position and it just hurts....
Literally at the end of the 3rd episode this morning and i've paused it right at the end because i need a break! :o
Although saying all the above it is a good watch, just difficult (for me)!
I hated that lead character, he plays it well but i can't root for him and i felt that it focuses too much on the prison than court.
I quite enjoyed it, especially the sacrafices made at the end to get him out of there.

Right I've decided I'll watch the 5th episode now, but I'm pathetic, i kinda don't want to know what happens! :o Kinda the same as you Ray, i feel sorry for him, but then he is stupid sometimes, and the way they portray the "justice system" scares me.
Those kind of things go on in prison I have no doubt. I'm not qualified on the subject at all, but you hear very varied stories from people who have been inside. It all seems to depend on what kind of wing they stopped on. The wing Ben was in was pretty rough, full of serious offenders (like himself, technically)
I too hope the portrayal of how some lawyers build their defence case is more fiction than fact. :(

Actually i thoroughly enjoyed it :D Oddly enough, it was just the suspense that was probably killing me. The BBC have come up top trumps again in my eyes :)
Yeah the defence that was practically forced down his neck had me feeling very nervous, in that situation i really would just want to tell people the truth regardless so it wasn't over my head for "life" (either type :p).
Sounds interesting, give a brief idea of what it is and I'll look for episodes if I'm intrigued.
Young lad meets a girl and they go out having fun. They end up sleeping together and he wakes up to find her dead (Stabbed)
He's completely confused and panics, the police obviously arrest him as the prime suspect. The story follows his time in prison as he's put on trial, how his lawyers try to form a defence (he can't remember what happened at all) and the trial itself.
Sounds good enough for me to look for a torrent :)

There are only 5 episodes, well worth a watch, but i still found it hard to watch looking back. Good stuff though :)
Downloading it now, if i'd noticed earlier, parts 4 and 5 are still on iPlayer...
They all downloaded overnight, will take a look this evening.
OK, just watched the first one and I struggled, sort of cringed a couple of times. I think because of the actual content, not the acting or anything like that.
I put it on the telly so that Mrs. Feek could watch it as well because she's into this sort of thing but halfway through it she picked up her book. I asked why and she said that she found it really difficult to watch simply because it seemed so realistic and probably reflective of things that are actually happening all the time.
She's very much into programmes like CSI and Cold Case, but I think this is just a bit too realistic for her.
I shall continue tomorrow, impressed so far though.
