View Full Version : Wii games for my Mum
My Mum's recently been playing games on the wii to distract her from stuff and keep her occupied. She used to love puzzle games on the DS but doesn't find them very good at distracting her now.
So I thought I'd get her interested in the Wii with an Agatha Christie Murder Mystery game (point n clicker basically), she's been enjoying it but now it's pissing her off because it's too slow and irritating and crap. :D
Now she wants something slightly faster but with thought involved and a story of some description.
It can't be too fast because of her neck injury.
Currently I'm thinking Zelda: Twilight Princess, but not sure what else. Any ideas? :)
Ooo that Agatha Christie game sounds good = shame I don't have a Wii boo hoo! :(
Love Zelda games though! :D

Nooooo you don't want it. It's really crap, even my Mum thinks it's crap now as it's so infuriatingly illogical ;D
Ha hah a... I think I will have to appreciate next mth ;)

I really want zelda for my little wii, i've got a wii but sod all to play on it! I've got a chip sitting next to it, but haven't had the guts to crack the soldering iron out yet, when i saw the IC legs compared to my "small" (25w) soldering iron, i thought, screw this... Haven't got round to paying for the cop-out clip on solution yet :D
Honestly Jen, I cant think of any game for the Wii your mum might like :(
Why not get her some arcade games on the Xbox instead? :)
Because then she'll nick the 360 ;D
We have the wii in the living room for general consumption and the 360 in my room as I play it so much.
In the past we've brought it downstairs as I've got loads of arcade games and a few retail games she'd like. It's just not convenient all the time :/
Fair point ;D
In that case then, TP is prob the best way to go. Loads of puzzles, and its sooo pretty :) She'll love the music too :)
I'll get it stuck on the rental list :)
Does much happen in it? :o I honestly know very little about it and just thought it was an aquarium sim, but looking at some reviews it looks like there's more to it. But how slow paced is it? Worried it might be too slow.
It's very awkward trying to find a good game for someone who has no idea what they'd like! ;D
Well she has more patience than me so she should be ok :D
I'll stick that on the rental list too, thanks :)
Well my Mum's been playing Zelda: TP for the past week or so as we managed to find it for £15. And she loves it :)
She's not brilliant at it but everyone has to start somewhere and the main thing is she likes it, and she doesn't find it frustrating :D
I've had to help out in a few minor places so I've ordered her the game guide off ebay as a surprise to help her out a bit :)
It's been a great distraction in the evenings for her which is the key thing.
Woo! Another Zelda fan
Keep her away from the Cave of Ordeals, she'll be fine :D
Dont talk to me about that though. Sore spot :|
Does it get stupidly hard then? :p As I'm bound to have to do it if it does ;D

Yes its fricking hard. I wont tell you what happened when Daz did it, as I might give something away, but just go in there armed with fairies and potions and stuff, best when you have nearly finished the game too so you have the most hearts :)
Should be quite a way off at least :D
And remember having the best solution to a problem 0.5 seconds after the fact is still too late.
Bah!
