50mm 1.4 or 1.8?

50mm f/1.8 is my guess. Good old EXIF :D

Its a f/1.8 I'm not MADE of money, I have to say just from a little play this is a really nice lens, its very quick and as you can see from the pic of Murphy it give a good account of itself :)

I'll have more of a play on Sunday but I'm looking forward to using it at meets in lower light conditions.

thankoo :)

It's probably my favourite picture from that lens, it's just so nice to use though, always sharp, brilliant depth of field and the colours are nice.

Keep thinking about getting one of these. Problem is I borrowed a colleagues for a bit and found the 50mm (80mm full frame equiv) was a bit too narrow for indoor work, where the f/1.8 would be at its most useful.

In two minds whether to just get for 50 quid or put the money towards a Sigma 30mm f/1.4

Kitten or vertigo, I'm going to sell mine to make way for the 1.4, it comes with uv filter too. If you likes, i can send it to you to have a play and if you like it, then pay me. If not, then send it back.

Well wouldn't need to play with it really as I've already had a play with a colleagues. How much are you looking for for it?

If it's canon fit (assuming so reading thread) and not gone I might be tempted if the others don't want. Could do with a new toy to try apart from the kit lens on my 400d :)

So is that fixed at 50mm and fixed at F1.8?

I still can't quite grasp this

Fixed at 50mm and the lowest F stop is 1.8, can still change the F stop on the camera as far as I know, only had mine a few weeks so still getting used to it :)

It's still here :)

Yep, 50mm prime (i.e. fixed rather than zoom lens) and f/1.8 as the widest aperture, although can obviously go higher (smaller aperture). Great lens for the money and especially good in low light such as indoors.

I'm going to have to pass on it myself, thanks anyway :)
