taking a bit of getting used to.
keep feeling well tired after wearing them for a while
I'm not really sure that looking at screens does have that effect. my eyes started going south when I was about 7 or 8 and stopped changing at 16ish. They've never changed since and I spend all day every day looking at screens.
Glasses look good though, they suit you :)

Armani glasses eh.. don't do things by halves :p
They look nice, shame you don't really get to see them unless you've got them on :p
People with glasses officially rock more than most. ;)
They suit you dude :)

yeah i wasn't sure if it did or not, but the optician said that considering i'm 22 theres no other explanation as to why i'd be short sighted already. He said that concentrating on this close by, i.e. writing/reading and computer use for so long has caused it. because my eyes have been concentrated on things close by for so long that now they have trouble focusing on distant things :)

ha. Mum was like "dads just got his bonus, want that trip to the optician now?" so i couldn't resist ;D

I'd have to agree now \o/

ha, lies. I can't really wear contacts cose i don't need to wear them all the time so its nice to be able to take em off whenever i don't need em :)
and thanks for the 'suits you sir'... so far everyones said that so my fears of choosing a pair that look crap was unfounded \o/

They look really cool mate - Suit you sir!
I've been quite lucky. 22+ plus years in front of a VDU and I only need glasses for when they feel tired. I guess it comes down to always having my eyes shut anyway :)

thanks ;D
As others have said, they do suit you. Was they your choice or did you get help? :p

NO! Real men try and pull out contact lenses with stanley knives and pliers only to find there is no contact lens there. That's what REAL MEN™ do!

What a fool! So he's saying that the only reason young people get short sighted is through looking at screens? Crap.

REAL MEN™ wear glasses, Gayers who worry about there looks like women wear contacts :p
Nice bins Dude, I've worn glasses for around 5 years & don't feel right without them on. Even though I don't need to use them all the time I like them & feel odd without them.
The dizzyness lasts around a week depending on the person, I had around 2 days of weirdness & have not looked back since.
I'm due another visit as my eyes have downgraded over the last 2 years but I can't decide what shop has got the best bins yet.

It isn't crap if you don't do some eye exercises. If you look at a VDU (or anything else that requires close-up study - e.g. needlework) all day without a break *and nothing else* then this is entirely possible.
VDU use doesn't cause the problems - poor eye health does.
Either that or it's just a pre-existing condition, which is the more likely answer.

the help consisted of the woman in vision express gettin this 'box' thing which i ended up putting 5 pairs in... some that my mum liked n some that i'd picked out... i'd pretty much already decided on these frames when i came to narrow them down so it didn't take very long for me to decide \o/

yeah, i perhaps should of believed all the warnings and stuff that you get at work and with computer games to take a 15minute break every hour :(

Sorry Mark, but what was said *is* crap. If Show's optician is saying that the only reason his eyes could have deteriorated by the age of 22 is because he spends his time looking at VDUs then he (the optician) is a fool because he's discounting the very many other possible causes.
aye, well he was quick to come to his conclusion when i said that I thought it must be because of that (its what my mums been saying for years)
wonder what else it could be :/
he said its almost certainly not genetic at my age and theres nowt medically wrong with my eyes :/

I think this is what Feek is aiming at, and I have to agree. What has age got to do with anything? You see four year old kids with glasses and not spent four years looking at a screen. Some people's eyes just get worse no matter what they do. It is a genetic thing and it's not age related. Unless of course your eyes look different depending on if it's genetic degradation or self caused.
I've had my eyes tested a couple of times and they're never more than +.75 (is that the long sighted one?) Anyway, I don't need glasses really but that tiny bit of long sightedness is multiplied when my eyes are tired after looking at a screen all day. So, maybe looking at a screen all day doesn't change your eyes but makes any condition seem worse?
